  • Nice kart man, From where did you get that small grinder?

    Thanks

  • How much did it cost

  • hey i need a clutch for my 5hp briggs motor for my gokart and i was woundering how to size it so it will fit?

  • what is the cutting blade you're using on the dremel? please help!

  • kartmonkey can you send me the plans?

  • y is there two of u!?!?!?

  • Like around how many amps do i need to weld metals like that becouse i want to make a go kart

  • i want to make a gocart my self and i would be pleazd if you can help me ?? we can chat on massanger if you have a acount ???

  • That is pretty nice for a home build. But with those big tires it is going to be hard to get brakes working right. That is why I went with much smaller tires for mine than I had planned.

  • what a piece of shit . wrong motor , front end is a death trap, but what can you expect? look who built it kids and there shadetree mech. dad. lol stay with next one will be better. cant get no worse. a murry frame and a 8hp honda would been a lot more impressive.

  • what a tard... he has a perfectly good go cart and quad goes and destrosy it for this pos

  • great job guys, really well done, i am impressed. 5 stars and more.

  • man u suck at welding

  • nice work! good job!

  • u deserved an A 5/5

  • HOW MUCH TO MAKE WITH OUT ENGIN

  • the front axel is bent

  • How much did you spend on this project besides all the yard sale stuff

  • how come its 1 wheel drivee??

  • It's not! It's got a solid rear axle, 2 wheel drive.

  • Excellent job boys,,i fabricate my self ,im impressed :)

  • thos sparks hurt dont they

    if they hit you alot

    to me thay do

  • did you use a chain if not what

  • hey can you send me those instructions or make a video just showing the instructions the gokart rules

  • hey could you tell me how much the whole thing coasted?

  • You guys did a really nice job on that! Anyone can talk about a project, but actually following it through to completion says a lot about you as a mechanic. Well done.

  • ....He Sucks At Welding.

  • i need those plan. so if i ask you nicely, would you send me. or somebody. i realy need it. thx

  • crazy awesome. I am in the midst of building a wooden car. 4.5 horsepower murray engine. Might make a video. Good job!

  • nice work

  • genius!

  • unless this is kylemonkeys other chanel

  • kylemonkey stealer lol thats his vid too!

  • have to adjust the camber on the front tires

  • Sounds like u need a mufler,so u can get the back presure to the engine. That will give it more bottom end

  • got enough camber on those front wheels? LOL

  • one of favorite go cart vids on youtube. good job

  • does that just have the one wheel drive or posotive traction cause at 5:40 when you spun out it looked like only one side was going

  • u sellin any parts?

  • sweet and nice job

  • that cart makes my cart look crap

  • funny video

  • holy shit nice man!!!!

  • disk brakes , cool

  • are the wheels sitting right? or just the geometry not correct?

  • nice bead on the weld

  • well done. :) looks like some front suspension changes might be in order, like the geometey? front tires dont sit right, but otherwise awesome job.

  • it's an engine of what????

  • Dang u got some tallent. i could never in my life build anything like that

  • sweet cart, makes mine look really really crap.lol!

  • dude that is sick holly shit make some more/good welding

  • Bello , ma quanto costa ?

  • IS THERE A DIFF ON THAT

    NICE CHAIN GUARD

  • Whered you get the plans from?

  • dude 5 18 horse power your thinking to inside the box think outside get you a r1 bike motor in there hahah see if you can keep grip in the first 3 gears

  • wow! thats well kool! i could never do that!!!

  • stick a inline 4 on that puppy

  • cool!

  • make frontal suspenction more hard....the kart seems to touch street....

  • you lost me with your technical terms... LOL. i put a set of new shocks on the cart. and its twice as high and stiff

  • how long did u spend building that beast?

  • Again, that's a pretty bitchin' kart.

I wouldnt mind making one similar.

wouldnt a belt work better in this sort of application?

  • it might but its more expensive. thats my only issue

  • very nice man =D

think it would look bettr wid biggr front weels tho

    5 stars =D

  • dude can you send me a copy of those via email i ride, and that is sick as shit

  • ITS MMMEEEE AGAIN!!!:) nice job on the kart kyle u rock and ima posta comment on every vid i can and see if u reply :)

  • where did he get the plans for this thing

  • how did you build the clutch!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Hi, That is one awesome go kart! How much did the kart cost in total? Also what type of welder did you use because I am looking at making one myself.

    Cheers

  • it is a mig-welder!

  • I think he uses a mig welder with hollow electrode with flux inside, instead of gas.

  • i think i recognize the plans - they sell for about 40 dollars yes?

i can't beleive that they can charge so much for such a simple set of plans - i could build a very close facsimile of the frame with enough square tubing.

awesome kart - but i would throw on a sheetmetal body around the bottom and some rear fenders

featured guy, uh kyle? you have a weird vibe like the manchurian candidate guy lol

  • to graduate. and yes they were busted

  • when he took from themmabey his go kart is bettr

  • hey youre wrong about the oxy accetaline welding. its all about the skill.. mig welders are 4 ease of use and muppets. job well done on ya kart.

  • man i want one lol

  • U did a great job

  • i have a question....Can i make fast homemade go-kart with a 2hp 109 cc engine?? pls answer =D

  • no...2 hp is a bit short. try 8 or 6.

  • chillined is right. that like goped speed right there except halph the RPMs

  • @Kartmonkey CAN YOU PLSS TELL ME HOW DID YOU MAKE THE STEERING, FRONT SUSPENSION... PLS PLS PLS

  • how fast can it go and the cable that steers it is it just steel rod

  • where did you find the rear suspention would the suspention from a old car work

  • yes but use only 1 shock cuz 2 is too much

  • that was really cool. i wish i lived in an area where i could ride down the road in a kart without people getting pissed off.

  • holy crap thats sweet

  • wouldnt an oxy acetelene welder work just as good?

  • Hmm three times larger then most gocarts, that's good!

  • I wanna' blow torch so badly so I can make one of those . . But that didn't look like a go-kart, it looked like a four-wheeler.

  • blow torch? oxygen accetylin torches come in handy for cutting, but just dont think about trying to weld with that. its possible, but its brittle. get a MIG welder or an easy Flux chore welder.

  • @BenjaminIV same man i want a blow torch

  • nice job, nice briggs twin too

  • Looks nice. Well done. The front wheels look to have an excesive camber angle though. It could be just the suspension however.

    -steve

    kartbuilding . net

  • the single A-arm suspention made the wheels pivot in angles

when the shocks are up they look like

    \-/

when its down it looks like

    /-\

but i did put some really beefy shocks up front and now its lifted four inches. and it looks real normal

  • Omg! That Go-kart is awesome! =o Cool... This makes me wanna go go-karting...

    That Dirt Devil is sweet!

  • Nice job! Your Dirt Devil has a great sound....don't forget to add all the bracing and maybe some extra as you have tripled the recommended power. Have fun and take care! Don

    Get you plans at

    w w w dot diyden dot net

  • the big motor wasnt the BEST idea. you should make the same plans for big tires, big motor, and the motor mounted on the swing arm. thats what i regret with this. i wish i would have made the motor mounted on the swing arm, for it trhows the chain! and its off weighted.

  • thats kylemonkeys go kart

  • hehehe im kylemonkey lahsdkjahf

  • MORE VID MORE VIDS MORE VIDS

  • well done. where do you have the plans for that kart? I am intereset:-?

  • That was a EXCELLENT video! and absolutely amazing build quality for at home! Im so envious of you.

  • dam that thing is awesome nice work, but the front wheels seem to be weak or maybe its the suspension working well nice job

  • the front A arms pivot and the wheels alter angles. but i actually but some beafier shoks in the front and i gave it a 4 ibnch lift and the wheels dont look crooked.

  • what size is that box section steel and what size wall is it.

  • one inch. wall was .095

  • sounds like a chopper lmao (from what ive heard of choppers)...

  • I captin! ITS A MONSTER!

  • you should really add a 5 gear transmission to that thing, as the engine is perfect for it.

  • oh gosh i wish. i had a single speed and it still pulled somewhere beteen 40 to 60 PMH. i never did clock it, but the motor has some SERIOUS potential.

  • that would be nice

    :D

  • cdues u got a sn im building a go kart too maybe we can talk about ideas

  • Nice job dude. I'm making a go kart my self. It's not going that good, cuz I have to use ArcWelder, and it's a bit diferent. Other thing is the engine, it's really hard to find a good deal for an engine here in portugal. Wish me luck! ;)

  • dont use arc. arc is for heavy duty jobs. there is some electrodes that you can weld thin stuff on. hell, i think the E-6013 elecrode will do sheet metal. but you should use MIG. (otherwise known as wire feed) and go to garage sales, find an old motor, andplay with the carb. thats what i do.

  • It's my only choice to use Arc, and I use thin electrode, for 1mm steel. MIG is too expensive, and there is no such "Garage sale" in Portugal. I know it's very popular in there, but most things sold in here (excluding new parts) are stollen, like Motorbike engines, and wheels. I'm buying a Yamaha DT LC. It's 2 Stroke 50cc, and the orginal motorbike was able to achive 120KMH. He sais that if the chassis is lighter than 90Kg, it will achive 90KMH.

  • i would love it if u could make me one

  • front shocks welded weak

  • front shoks welds are fine. i need to finish my support rails. i pretty much got it together ASAP so i could get it graded.

  • were did you get the square tubing and how much did it coast

  • were did you get the square tubing for the frame

  • i WISH i knew! i got it through my school welding shop. i got 22 feet for $14!!!!!!! and at home depot the round gas pope is so pricey

  • yeah dude, good job props

  • loved the frame but how about applying a real cycle engine. if you type in gixxer kart into youtube , you will quickly decide on a future engine change. im planning on a kz750 powered kart. very good job on the frame tho. keep up the good work. kevin

  • nice kart 18 hours power dam i got a 6.5 but my gokart is a lot smaller

  • oh its a briggs and stratton. they make a 6.5 OHV that they sell dirt cheep. i have the same one on my old gokart. its a nice motor. i used the gast tank from that motor for this gokart.

  • how much would u sell it for

  • would I sell that motor for? well im going to use it. lol. buy one from northern too for about $250
