For everyone who harks on the CGI let me put it this way, in this same fight it took Willas O'Brian weeks to shoot the fight between Kong and the T-Rex, now look at this scene and ask yourself how would you had animate all of Kong's jumps and rolls, as well as three V-Rexs, it would take months to finish the sequence and a guy in a suit would look too fake. Willias O'Brian and Ray Harryhousen are able to do Stop Motion because they were artists with the talent and patiance to get it done right.

The ending is a beat for beat remake of the famous Kong vs. T-Rex fight from the original. I'm probably going to get flack for saying this, but one advantage to CGI is the ability to easily create mulitple creatures, yes Willias O'Brian's stop motion was amazing for it's time, but it was also time consuming, and it him months to animate Kong and about 4 dinosaurs, I hate to think how long it would've taken to do this film's Stampede scene and Kong fight three T/V-Rexs with 1933 style stop motion

It's also amazing how the dinosaur had enough strength in his legs to hold King Kong up in the air while he rode him like a horse, seeing that Kong must way a ton. He really humilated that V-rex!

As a graduate student in stratigraphy/paleontology, I love the fantasy of this conflict! Cool! If Vastatosaurus was based on the tyrannosaurinae taxon, Tyrannosaurus rex, then V-rex would have had the last laugh. All those bites that were delivered by V-rex, King Kong would have died from sepsis later on, or the ape's arms would have been broken from a bite because of the later taxon's dentition were made for crushing bone. That is why I laugh at the Spinosaurus and T-rex fight in Jurassic Park.
