I like what this exposes on Easter while using scripture too. I have to wonder though about the emphasis on the "Holy Days". While Corinthians was written to former Pagans, Galatians was written concerned with the Gentile Christians and Mosaic Law. There we see Paul is not concerned with keeping Feasts of Israel. Paul observed the feasts primarily for reason said in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.
It makes no sence to me that everyone is wrong in thier worship/religion but only the people of the desert are right ! i think europeans were never wrong in worshiping thier pagan gods it might have been wrong for the semites but not the europeans becouse it was not thier god but european gods, so maybe we all have diffrent creators ,that would make more sence becouse we are all diffrent
There are 2 other problems. The first is that Jesus ate the passover supper before the passover. Why? Second is that 1Cor 15:45 says that Jesus is the second Son of God because Adam was first son of God Luke 3:38
2nd?? Gen 2:26,27 God said Let US make man in OUR image.....Adam was made by God/Jesus/HolySpirit 3=1
1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, The Word (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit: and these THREE ARE ONE---Jesus was born(human form)from a virgin AND WAS, IS, WILL ALWAYS BE GOD--SON OF GOD,LORD, SAVIOR--THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THRU ME(His Blood Sacrifice on the Cross) our salvationGB
There is a book in the bible called Esther. She was named after the Babylonian fertility goddess. I will admit that there is a problem with Easter in that there is only one day between good Friday and Sunday, not the three that the bible says it should be.
The easter story was from pagan origins BUT the idea of fertility and birth was given to humans by God both in a physical and mental (spiritual) way. Jesus demonstrated how he had overcome the natural tendencies of his flesh, even to the point of self sacrifice to make the point to those he was with because they needed that boost to fully believe, as they would need to be "reborn of flesh to be born of spirit" and that's not just a change of mind - it's a difficult process God guides us through.
Perhaps you are helping some people to get away from the politicization of God, generally called Religion but I suggest being very careful how much you think you know about this as there is a great deal more to be revealed. As Jesus said, when he came again "as a thief" - in secret he would "speak plainly of the kingdom, no more in parables(stories) and that he said he has lots more to say as they could not understand all he had and yet he also told different things to different ones.
Absolutely! I still get together with my parents when they celebrate "Christmas", I just don't celebrate it with them. Go ... have a good time ... enjoy your family! My advice is: don't take part in Easter egg hunts, give Easter gifts or any such thing. If you're asked why you don't take part, give a simple answer. Don't get into a theological discussion; your actions speak louder than words.
I'm the same, I don't celebrate Easter or Christmas but I do meet with family but don't partake on any of the gift giving or have Easter eggs as they are Pagan. Be with your family but don't partake of the world
Haven't you read John 19:31? So you are mistaken, for the Lord was crucified on Friday and rose from the dead on the first day of the week (Mark 16:9). Also, you don't know the way jewish people observed days and nights... for it does make three days and three nights from friday to monday (the jewish equivalent of those days).
However, you are right about the Easter and the Bunnies.
As John 19:31 states, it was Preparation Day for a High Sabbath. This means it was the day leaven was removed from Jewish homes to prepare for the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The Sabbath mentioned is not the weekly Sabbath, and Friday has never been called "Preparation Day".
Yes, He rose on the first day of the week. By God's reckoning, a day begins at sunset (Gen. 1:5), so if the Lord rose Saturday at sunset, He rose at the beginning of the first day of the week. :)
Sorry Prof but you are wrong, The first day of the week is Sunday, the 7th day of the week is Saturday, the Sabbath, check it out on your calendar...GB
yeah i know this but most christains follow customs of men!!!

If all Christian holidays have a pagan origin, perhaps the whole Christian religion is pagan and false in fact.
