alcohol will kick anybodys ass all the way up to your shoulder blades, but you can fix that. that poor ole cat ain't got nothing to do with it. thats an inside job. we got to do that one . you have friends you haven't met yet. god bless. i practice with all this great music myself . i'am a nam vet , if i can make it thru all that b.s. alcohol, drugs and figure some basic living tools with help from others. you can too.
Whenever I get in a curmudgeon mood and start griping about today's lackluster music someone always tells me "you just aren't looking in the right places".
Only after watching this video did it occur to me "why should I have to look for it? I used to just turn on radio and there it was !"
Well, I too at 47 try to stay active and young minded... How do I do it? I play Mick Ralphs in "Straight Shooter" the baddest Bad Co Tribute band in So. Ca. !!!! Oh yea, I almost forgot, I eat right, get plenty of rest and take a Geritol Tablet every day. Now I'M showin my age!!! :-)
I'm only 36 but I was pretty much raised on this music, I spent part of this morning playing along with their debut album on my 22 year old Tama kit, what a great rock n' roll band, I can still remember the orange flickering lights on the front of my Lloyds 8 track player, and jamming a piece of cardboard under the tape to make it play right.
I turned 51 last November. I used to sing this back in the day. I have been so bummed at how fast my life has gone. What a great video you made! I'm sitting here after going out with my best friend and his wife watching the cat lick his ass and drinking beer & watching old songs. If this is how it's going to be I'm checking out!!!!
@Hwood1959 They've got lanes for 10 items or less that really speed up the check out process.......... I'm 48, not far behind you...... don't give up yet my brother.... heck, go buy a guitar and amp and learn to play it too.... you got a lot of life left
@Hwood1959 what awesome memories me too with the singing and i will be 51 first wk. of feb and this is still off the charts! full of old times when the world was easier... thanks
@Hwood1959 Hey... There are those of out here that are alone too.. I love these old songs!! I remember racing my old "73" "Cuda, going out camping, keggers and all the guys acting like they were gonna live forever.. :P there's hope we'll end up with someone that likes the same things we do! I at least have hope..my husband was murdered in "02" Music helped me get out of myself... Now I dance around livingroom and my dog thinks I've gone rabid :P hang in there Hwood..
Truck2112...Great job on your interpretation....loved it...loved the mix between pics and band footage...I hope you do this for a living because its right on point...Jim In Jax Fla
@chris1969kw a song that engraves in your brain, in a good way, thanks truck and chris - there are a few modern gems out there, thankfully we have our "old school" to keep us sane until the record companies stop cranking out the $ame Dough Beautiful People Who Sample Great Artists and return to blessing the population with something original! Peace ;.)
been listening to Desolation Angels since I heard this yesterday. Really, why in the world can't modern artists create their own kind of smooth sound like this? Feel old saying so, but it's true. peace ;.)
@0marigolds It's because, back it the day, you had artists that were trying to blaze their own paths- not to say that there weren't any moochers trying to cop a sound- but today I think it's all about buying whatever amps the hottest band has, copping all the licks etc. Yeah, I'm startin' to sound like my old man did talkin' to me about music when I was 14. lol
you say memories we all have them but i know what you mean with this song !! blast it out!!
