There's nothing wrong with the new gameplay or looks. Change is not bad. I do agree about Cortex though. He did get a little too silly in the last 2 games. I wanted him to be a little more villainous, but you can't have everything.

Do you also hate Raiden, Old Snake, Spyro, Kratos, Ratchet, Clank and Qwark with their different designs (Snake (minor) & Raiden (major) had redesigns in MGS4, Spyro Dawn of the Dragon gave Spyro a minor one. Same with Kratos' face in GOW3 and a medium-range change for Ratchet & Clank, and Qwark in Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One)?

This sets the benchmark for how Crash games should be. It's fun, the sound design is distinctive and interesting, the platforming is challenging but not frustrating, there are some good puzzles, it's a decent length, there's plenty of replay value, and most importantly, it's funny. Why did they feel the need to fuck it up with crash of the titans and mind over mutant?
