Kayak Fishfinder Electric Putty Install: Episode 32

I have searched my local home depot, lowes and menards and cannot find elecric putty. The only reference I can find online is 3M Scotchfil Electrical Insulation Putty in a tape roll on amazon for $12. Could you give me the name and maker of the brick style putty you used? Thank you in advance.

Whats the benefits over using marine goop ??

It's not permanent like Goop. :-)

You really don't need the foam frame. I was actually considering using petrolium jelly, so I already had it mounted. The putty does a great job of staying in place and keeping the puck attached.

Do you have to use the foam shape bracket around it when using electrical putty?
