Having shown dogs for over 15 years I can say that the best jacket I have ever worn is my pink jacket I currently own. Stands out SO nicely in the ring and works with all breeds.

I know I should have made this more about both genders but I also knew I needed to keep it short so when I started to notice a lot of women in the same outfit, it started to look like a breed to me . Next time it will either be all men or at least half men.Because as far as I am concerned, everyone who gets all dressed up and goes running in a circle with a well groomed dog is destined to look pretty funny, whether there is an audience there or not.

This video is funny because it's backwards. Usually it's the judges describing the dogs but in this video it the judges describing the handlers. Such wittiness went into this video. LOL!!! Yes. You don't want the judge looking at the handler. Also, handlers will wear cloths that match to dog's color to diminish confirmation faults (like a saggy top line).

Funny, but the women in the clip for the most part were not stocky, IMHO. I consider myself stocky, and I wear a sports bra with heavy duty support. I've seen women much heavier than I sans proper breast support. Now, that is STOCKY.

Plus, wearing a color that contrasts the color of the dog you're handling shows the dog off better, and keeps the dog from blending in with the handler.

I can't get over two things at dog shows...one is the lack of color (of the handlers) and the poor fashion choices of the people. Is it to not detract from the attractive dogs? Great video...

actually, the clothing choices are dictated by the mechanics of showing dogs. Has to be a 2-piece suit, because a dress would hike up too much when you kneel. Has to be a neutral color, cuz you can't compete with the dog! Has to have pockets, for bait, comb, and the occasional faux rodent. Flat shoes are so you don't kill yourself while running around the ring....etc. etc.

If ONLY it were not for the PETAPHILES, if only this were 25 years ago, this would have been funny. This had an edge to it which was missing in DOG SHOW, the movie, which certainly makes fun of dog shows but which actual exhibitors found funny.
