I download music and video's all the time, When it comes to music the only people who lose out are the companies that rip off music artists. I would rather send an artist 20 bucks then buy their CD, video has a lot more too it, when I download it's usually is pretty bad quality and its normally just to see if its good or not. if it is good ill buy it on DVD, if it isn't good ill say fuck it they don't deserve money, but greedy businesses will still claim they lost money off of what I downloaded

I'm sorry but your logic is to blame for us having to pay for the internet. The internet was free, untill we were told that we had to start paying for it. Wikipedia: history of the internet - This politician is smart, business smart 'don't take the privilidge away, make them pay for it'. Money at your expense.

"The internet was free, and still is for anyone to set up a server. Since it's so complicated to set up a method of tapping into the internet (too complicated for people like me that can't do programming) and so we pay people for them setting up the connection methods through the phone lines."

@mkgrnwlt well, in school we only learn about American government in depth, so i honestly have no knowledge on any other government's structure, unless it's really basic, for example, Cuba is communist, Japan is a democracy, i have no knowledge of how laws are added how any other government is set in terms of senate (if it has one), representatives and so forth. so when i read "amendment" i thought of an addition of an amendment in the United States, like i said, stupid question on my part

Obviously they are going to try to invest in energy efficiency in its various forms, that's almost exclusively what their voters are interested in. But investing in public transport and clean energy is not exactly controlling anyone's choices - it's giving people _more_ choice. I don't see any hypocrisy here.

If people have any sense of what freedom is, they would know that the Greens are trying to take this freedom from them. Their trying to tell people how to live their lives, which should be the individuals, themselves, making these choices. People are like sheep these days- they need someone to follow and tell them what they can and can't do, instead of having a mind of their own.
