  • Omg, she's adorable. :)

  • Not "too" bright is the correct spelling. And the comma is unnecessary because you have no noun after "but." Thanks though.

  • She appears to be very nice. Not to bright, but nice.

  • one of the Early Episodes

  • Alex is too cute :P

  • she's the most entertaining , interesting , beautiful woman i have ever seen on Love connection. lol <3

  • I got Cal rolled! Didn't know his commercial was on here...I look away and hear "if your looking for a bargain PUSSY COW!!!" I choked on my water and thought wtf is a pussy cow??? Then I look and saw the commercial for Cal what hisname ....totally forgot about that guy!

  • Not that I found him on Love Connection, mind you.

  • And yet she just celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary. Isn't it nice that we can all find that special someone if we look hard enough, even to the point of going on Love Connection?

  • What an odd couple of people. She seems so strange.

  • this is so awesome ive been looking for these earlier 80s shows

  • double-u, double-u, double-u origin of alphabet dot com

  • That was Rod Roddy? That didn't sound like him.

  • Cool. The first year of Love Connection. It look different back then, like there 6 TVs when there 3 in a later seasons.

  • "Threw up on his shoes?" Maybe they were just really ugly shoes? Lol...

  • Is this the first week of LC?

  • @tpir1972 Yes, the very end of the first week. The show debuted 9/19/83.

  • @tpir1972 According to Wikipedia, Love Connection first aired Sept. 19, 1983. This was Sept. 23, 1983, and therefore the fifth day of the first week.

  • Nope. Dad's an Oakie, Mom's a Californian. I believe Mom's dad was born in California as well. I'll check...

Lived all my life in CA, except brief stints in Montana, Chicago, and NY. I don't normally talk like this. Only on Love Connection. If you want the full story, check out Higher Math by Jennifer Ball on Amazon. You can search inside and read how they cut where Chuck Woolery asked me who Lewis Carroll was when I said that's the kind of guy I wanted to date. "A dead author..." Lieber said.

  • She might have been raised in N. California but I`ll bet her parents are from Wisconsin judging from the accent.

  • And those who had been avid Wheel watchers from the beginning were saying "Hey, that's the guy who handed Wheel of Fortune over to Pat Sajak!"

  • Announcer: Rod Roddy.

  • When I saw Brad Franchini's copy of a 1983 LC episode and saw that the LC set had 6 monitors (as opposed to 3 monitors), I always wondered why they had 6 monitors in the beginning and now I know.

  • So in the early episodes, the chroma key percentage read-outs were in Solari Boards instead of Vane.

  • @cartoongameshowman - yes they certainly were!

  • HOLY CRAP! A clip of a 1983 episode (the first season), and one from September no less!!! I've been dying to see clips from season 1 for a long time! (other than the clip Brad Francini posted years ago) Thanks a ton for posting!
