How much Hydrogen will one make if you add fresh or ocean water?

Will it burn if lit by a propane torch?

How about a 12Volt battery and jumper cables?

@c0nsumer Considering your not supposed to use more than 10 of these in an unventilated area, I'd say it's pretty likely that burning it will release toxic chemicals. But then, so does most shit you burn, down to a chip bag. You really shouldn't just burn these willy nilly, but one is hardly going to kill the planet, or anyone in the area.

@c0nsumer In FRH's (Flamless Ration Heater) there is a number of things in that may be toxic, or displace oxygen.

@c0nsumer one of the main byproducts is Hydrogen gas, not toxic, but it is what makes them so handy in homemade pyrotechnics.
