Yes both 1 and 2, great movies. You should check out "Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend". Be warned, it's hentai (a.k.a. anime porn) with vicious scenes of horror and tentacle naughty doings.

Basically the reason for the comedy dubbing is because they didn't actually get any scripts when they bought the show so had no idea what the characters were really saying. But apparently when the original creators saw the dubbed version they actually thought it was better than the original. One of the rare cases where changing stuff for the dub actually worked. (Unlike certain other examples cough4kidscough)

I think the SPC version should have kept him as a fox. He doesn't even have the slightest resemblance to a rat. His tail is a dead giveaway as to this (rats don't have fat tails, foxes do have such a tail). His ears are also pointed; a rat's are round.

Big Cheese is a fox in the japanese version. In english, he is a rat because rats are naturally a cat's enemy.

Big Cheese is a fox in the Japanese version. See, the show was pretty much ad-libbed since they had NO transcripts when it was imported from Japan. So most of the dialogue you hear is made up on the spot.
