Question yourselves stubborn people. What IF TSA were not there? Then what.
It's a US Code that gives TSA it's scope for what they can do. If you plan on boarding a commercial aircraft then this is what you are subject too. Just like every agency is given its USC subsection.
@Tropwen33 There should be two types of flights to choose from: one type for those, like you, who feel being groped is "ok", and flights that have NO TSA screening: you get to choose. Your flights would be cancelled because only about 2 people out of 50 are stupid enough to believe the groping is necessary. The other flights would be backlogged for months!! But we don't get to choose, do we? Next thing you'll hear is, "Paper's, please!!" Jawold, mein herr!!
@buczekjoe That is a perfect solution. I'll pay $2 less and not have to arrive an hour before boarding. A metal detector is fine with me. If it had been a bridge in 2001 we would 1/2 hour waits at all bridges and airports would be business as usual(pre-2001). Decisions are not based on facts- only fear.
at Ben Gurion airport, #1 in security, they use the metal detector and a device called Mag Shoe by IDO Security. No groping. Vastly speeds up loading.
@Tropwen33 you are ridiculous, do you really believe in terrorist and 9/11 please, do your factual research not news media, but look into 9/11, osama, bush family ties, al Qaeda , see where it goes back to, bush in charge of 9/11. top former intelligence commander under many different administration stating that 9/11 was a false flag operation to instill the fear of terror in us today, same terror you are relating to which have TSA sticking hands in pants today. statistically more die from bees.
@Truthnow1776 I think you make a valid argument, what would you do differently? (I'm not saying I enjoy a pat-down or x-ray, I just flew yesterday and to be honest the x-ray machines make me feel pretty uncomfortable), but I would like to know what your alternative is.
@julian19911 appreciate that, i would say one person cannot accomplish this, i would not tell you to go out there alone, fighting an army of them, no..Texas recently had it on there bill that if TSA pat you down body scanner you it is a felony, now how did that happen people going into there state law makers and congressman and letting them know they wont stand for this, i mean it take one domino to make them all fall, so one by one all states will be returned back to the people by doing this.
Now picture this being a young child and not an old man...and its quite chilling. For me I wouldnt mind so much if it was a hot chick, but another man feeling me up...HELLLLLLL NO.
It's amazing what they find in these pat downs abroad. I was coming in through Argentina recently and was looking at their "glass boxes." 3 9mm were in sight. Mostlet knives though, but still crazy what people try to bring on a plane these days.
@CreekTV TSA claims that they've stopped 10's of thousands of illegal items from getting on an aircraft. But, when asked for a list of said items, they refuse to provide it to the media. Why? Because nearly all of it is non-safety-related things (like pot, or other illegal drugs). So again, is TSA for SAFETY, or for busting drug users/runners? It's all a facade -
Social Security Income? Be a little more specific. Incidentally there have been several cases already where DHS has confirmed citizens have the right to film security procedures. Look that up.
The only reason this is going on is because we as AMERICANS are allowing it to happen we should just stand up for our Rights .................................come on people there our rights
Think this through... do you think the 'terrorists' will put a bomb in their pocket? They already know that <12YO will not be inspected (scanner or pat down). They also know that explosives jammed into an orifice will be completely undetectable. So, in light of that, do you really think making millions of innocent Americans get their crotch grabbed or dosed with x-rays is increasing security? We are the laughing stock of the world - all while surrendering our liberties. Shame.
@erkme73 okay, I see your point, so then what? What's your plan of action. I agree in that you make a point, I just think until we have some legit way of going about this security issue, what do we do? Let anyone and everyone walk on through without any diligent type of security check. I'm not saying I enjoy or agree with pat-downs or x-rays, but I don't think a "pat-down" or "x-ray" is taking away anyones "innocence". I want to know what you'd do differently.
@julian19911 The same thing we do for people who get on a train, bus, or taxi... NOTHING. The idea that someone could get away with a 9/11-type attack now is lubricious. In fact, shoe-bomber, underware bomber, countless crazies trying to get into the cockpit.. Guess who stopped them? FELLOW PASSENGERS!
@TheArkhangelsk I don't see how feeling up this old man in baggy khakis is somehow improving security. It's violating his fourth amendment rights and costing us a lot of money, but it's certainly not providing us any security.
@elhay001 how does it not improve security? hoe do you know he doesnt have a gun in his pocket? just because hes old doesnt mean he cant carry a gun on a plane...
@TheArkhangelsk - so if you start getting patted down by the hostess at your local restaurant because they were almost robbed once by a guy with a gun, are you okay with that too? I mean, just don't eat out, right? And don't send your kids to school - because they should be able to do the same intrusive search on them there. I mean, after Columbine and all.
@TheRealGeekMommy do you remember 9/11? some say it was a inside job by usa and some say it was terrorist who it was i dont know.
If the us did it then there most likely wouldnt have been a security check anyway but my point is that because of that lots of people died, lots got hurt, and lots of people lost their friends and relatives, many childs most likely lost their mother. how can we prevent this? maybe by cavity search? or do you have a better idea?
@TheArkhangelsk check out my video which state Dr. Steve pieczenik, worked under bush, raegan and others incharge of Assistant in charge of intel and security, and states that 9/11 was a false flag operation and osama bin laden died almost 10 years now. check it out, clarify your thoughts, the government killed 3000 plus american and wounded many other hearts and then sent others to war, over 40000 casualties... plus... terrorism is a fake state of mind, fear terror but who or what is terror???

All because of the false flag terrorism events of Sept. 11th and the Anthrax attacks in the weeks after. How easily a population will give up their rights. Its worked throughout history.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
1. its about security
2. if you dont agree to the body search you wont get on the plane
is it really that weird?
although i can agree to the american airports being too rough when it comes to security.
