@yellowrotorway Seems to work pretty good on most aluminum engines -- every now and again you get one with a stuck ring and have to re-ring em but not too often - They generally run pretty good - give em fresh oil, run em 1/2 hour and change it right away again is my usual 'post process'
Hey man, what happened to that Sabre? Did ya ever put the super charger and fuel injection on it? By the way the V4 is one of the best motors ever made.
@dewwed1965 Ive got another one - first one failed - using titanium head studs and a descent set of head gaskets this time - 84 VF1000 base this time though Its on the back burner till I get ahead enough on other projects or just have spare time here and there
some people don't understand how diesel fuel works little lone the engine. Its not the same as gasoline/ engines. Gas just takes a spark while diesel pretty much need an open flame to set it off
@macdaddy1600 You'd be hard pressed to get that to light off with a lighter - 9 quarts of Marvel Mystery oil to 5 gallons of diesel is the mix I use -- You'd have to hold a lighter on it for a minute or 2 to get it to go
@DRIFTINGIN808 Aint nothing but diesel - you'd have to hold a flame to it for several seconds to make it blow - plus the Marvel Mystery oil makes it far less flammable too - Mix is 5 gallons of diesel to 9 quarts of Marvel Mystery oils - You would be hard pressed to set it off with a lighter
have a quick question I have a 1979 Yamaha xs400 that sezied on me, hasent been rode since 2006. Could I just pump that mix into the spark plug hole's? Im sorta new to the whole seized motor job. Any other tips would help if you can thanks.
@redbaron447 Only if it's a piston stuck -- but that doesn't flush out an engine and get it clean - Plus this way it gets valves, transmission - whatever is stuck unstuck and clean. It's the difference between getting it running and having it last a few thousand miles -- Or between a little rust taking out say a valve seal for example
@Templehatchet About 1/2 the time but something like that I'd flush it a week first with carb cleaner and let it clean out the bore --Then hit it with diesel and Marvel... Take you a grease gun and shoot diesel through the bore if the valves aren't open - takes up to 3 weeks to unseize a heat stuck one and a lot of times I end out shooting grease down through em 'cause its new piston time at that point
@Templehatchet Piston, rings and a fresh wrist pin for a briggs is usually less than 30 bucks -- shouldn't have to bore it - just break the glaze most of the time. If you catch it soon enough after it seized you can usually save them -- if there's too much aluminium in the bore though at minimum hit it with some slick 50 if you dont feel like cleaning it/replacing the piston -- My lawnmower has a KZ1300A2 engine on it perma locked in 1st gear - shaft orientation is all that matters
@dawino6260 I am working two jobs to make ends meet and do not have the time or energy to fix it unfortunately. I will see what I can do later this week. Once again thank you for your expert advice.
@poopdoo1 You can weld next to diesel (although I dont recommend it unless you just have to)- It has a really high flash point and you'd have to hold a lighter on it a minute to get it to go if you wanted it to.... Even gasoline you can drop a cig in a bucket of the stuff and it aint catching fire
@dawino6260 People watch too much T.V. It happens. Hell, Ill give a doller to anybody who can light a bucket of gasoline on fire with a cigg without torching their face.
@dawino6260 I've welded a diesel fuel tank on a truck before... I went slow with it so I didn't burn thru but It's some of the scariest stuff in the world.
I just kinda love how every seems to know everything the moment they get on youtube..
@jamie381 Nope -- lot I dont know... Just trying to be helpful with what I do know -- You'd be amazed how many folks will spend 8 or 900 bucks to get something done that they can do for under 100... BTW I weld next to diesel -- If I'm going to patch a tank it's getting pumped full of CO2 while I'm doing it - makes it a lot less scary
@jamie381 Ahh ok -- sorry.... Did you see the yamakawazikiablesonguzzi I just did? (the rat bike) funnier than heck -- kid actually rode it home (I sold it this afternoon for 300 bucks)
You have to pump it up from the lowest point you can and it has to flow out of the highest point in the engine. So yes up from the oil pan and out through the valve cover breather.
Its effective enough I did 9 engines in 3 weeks....Also it has the added advantage of it breaks up any varnish/sludge inside the engine - leaves everything inside nice and clean -- I still pull em apart and inspect everything just to be sure it was only stuck from being in storage and not from something else
so how does this work do u pump the diesel and oil in the oil pan and then it fills everything up and flows out the valve cover or do u pump it in the valve cover and let it flow out the oil fill plug or do u pump it in to both the oil fill and the valve cover
Will this work with any engine? Also, how will it run when you are done?

That's pretty slick (pardon the pun). I've poured diesel down spark plug holes but have never seen this used. Cool.

and ur smoking a cig when theres gas around
nice

@iflynitro You mean diesel mixed with Marvel mystery oil -- it aint gas and you'd have to hold a flame to it quite a while to get it to light
dawino6260 2 months ago
@dawino6260 what if u drop it haha
iflynitro 1 month ago
@iflynitro Still wouldn't light off.... That stuff takes a flame for a minute or so to light off

@iflynitro ok u win haha big boom if it lights and nice vid

its always a good idea to have a cigarette in your hand when handling fuel.

The oil drain plug in my 14.5 horse Briggs and Sratton riding mower came loose and the motor seized. Will your method unseize it?

@dawino6260 It does not sound too promising. If I cannot find another motor I will try your advice. Thanks very much!
