Do you know, people? When Pope John Paul II was a young priest back in the 50's, he was daily bothered by the communists and had to hide to celebrate the mass. To me, by inviting the Red Army Choir, he gave us a keynote lesson about what forgiveness is.

The Eastern Orthodox religion is based off of Christianity, which Catholicism was as well. So in a way, it is, but also isn't.

I'm not mixing anything up. The song's lyrics are about killing enemies of the Red Army (there's a line in there that says "Ekh da KRASNOY ARMII geroi"), therefore enemies of the "Communist system" (which really wasn't Communist), which were referred to as Fascists or Capitalists (both of which are on the Conservative side of the political spectrum).
