great way of using 16 notes, but does this work for launchpad as well? i don't want to be stuck with 8 notes for sequencing. any tips?

No - Check out the info tab - Im just using LIVE to create my step sequencer - no need for M4L or bomes - check out my other vids - theyre all done just using LIVE - nothing else
