  • Just watched it again, three years later, after seeing the Covent Garden version. Still in stitches. That last "coraggio" had me ROTFL! This is how Monty Python might have staged it in an inspired moment.

  • The best version!!! I love it, is just perfect, the actors-singers, everything was perfect. Bravi tutti!!! :)

  • PHANTASTISCH, EINFACH PHANTASTISCH, UND DIE MUSIK VON MAESTRO PUCCINI IST UNÜBERTREFFLICH - BRAVO MAESTRO PUCCINI, BRAVO !!!!

  • Hi:

I saw this at the Met, in the movies, on TV (I recorded a DVD) and here.

I loved it every time but I have to admit that I laughed the most this time. THANKS!!!

Oh, and I agree, it's a WONDERFUL production!

It was directed by a Broadway director, Jack O'Brian, with many fabulous touches. The most memorable takes place in the last 3 minutes of the opera!! (You should have heard the "WOWs" in the theatre. The audience couldn't believe their eyes!)

Now that's a coup de theatre!

  • This is a wonderful production. (I'm using it to prepare for my first part with an actual name - I got selected to play Pinellino!)

  • great acting, very funny!

  • Thank you for posting. I was at this performance at the MET and it was wonderful. Been a Fan of Peter Volpe for some time!
