  • This is a GREAT European film, makes me proud that i live in europe

  • i LOVE this movie

  • 学生の頃この作品含め数々のゾンビ映画をアホみたいに観まくって親に怒られ兄弟に嫌がられ友人にドン引きされてたな・・・w

  • Best movie i''ve ever seen. Good graphics, acting, skills, speech, action, and makes sence. 10/10 GOOD JOB!

  • my favorite zombie movie

  • 0:12 The Original Fat Zombi. Dude nobody can escape his fat ass. I feel bad for that cop. How the fuck could anybody get away from a fat fucking zombi. Yikes

  • I see the 80's got a lot of juicy horror film with lots of gore (my favorite) compare to todays film. I got to start collecting now.

  • Many nightmares when I was a child because of this trailer!

  • CHE RECITAZIONE

  • the 20 who disliked this became zombies

  • The boat can leave now...tell the crew

    This movie is the balls

  • 0:42 - To quote Bamboozled - "I - I be smacking my hoes! I'm be smacking my hoes!"

  • Ian McCulloch? the singer of Echo and The Bunnymen? lol

  • @Morgethein It was not supposed to be a prequel...at all. It was a cash in.

  • bellissima scena iniziale con lo skyline di New York sullo sfondo, discreta storia, bel finale e bella musica, scena cult con l'occhio trafitto della bellissima Karlatos

  • Blue Underground will relase this restored on Blu-Ray October 24th 2011!!

    Please support this

  • @camrebirth I will support zombie 2 like victoria secret push up bra

  • @mrclassickids 70's

  • I've got this film but it's titled Zombie Flesh Eaters!?!

  • @TheEyez187 Yep, that was yet another title this one goes by.

  • Anyone else notic the background music sounds dangerously close to Take It Off by Ke$ha? Lol

  • @LastlyLostLove Was she even alive at this point?

  • @TheEyez187 I seriously doubt it, I'm not for sure though to be honest

  • @LastlyLostLove She's a skank.

  • this looks depressing

  • 1:18 LOL

  • Man the soundtrack is baller

  • 1:18 XD epic name "AURETTA GAY"

  • One of the creepiest zombie movies ever!! Intro music is what's most creepy!!! Couldn't sleep after watching this one

  • So is Dawn of the Dead Zombi 3 or Zombi 2 part 2?

  • In Europe the original "Dawn of the Dead" was called "Zombie" so they called Zombie" "Zombie 2"... got it now?

  • zombie fighting a shark... brilliant

  • This looks like a really great zombie movie, but I don't get why it's called Zombie 2 when it is the 1st one.

  • @larasman06 Blah blah blah, "Zombi" was Italian title for Dawn of the Dead, we're tired of explaining it. XD

  • @larasman06 ever heard of star wars? xd

  • This looks like a really great zombie movie, but I don't get why it's called Zombie 2 when it is the 1st one.

  • @larasman06 It's one of those unrelated sequels which were a big thing during the Grindhouse era. It didn't make much sense apart from a marketing perspective. Apparently there was a Zombi 1 but it didn't have anything to do with this.

  • that fat zombie looks like Homer Simpson xD

  • Favorite Fulci movie ever! :) The latest re-mastered versions of this make it look absolutely beautiful!

  • "WHATS THIS ABOUT THE DEAD COMING BACK TO LIFE AND HAVING TO BE KILLED A SECOND TIME??" .... really?

  • ouch :^,

  • Sucky Music...

  • the first fulci movie i ever saw, and after seeing every one of his movies (although i still watch them all frequently) i love coming back to this one time and time again. purely an italian horror masterpiece.

  • zombie vs. shark!

  • zombi 1 is dawn of the dead in italion

  • zombie

    2

    wheres zombie 1

  • I remember this film as "Zombie Flesh Eaters", saw it in 1981,ish. At 12 years old then, it scared the shit out of me hehe.

  • lol! Most of the great American directors (Woody Allen and others) are inspired by the greatest Italian directors (Fellini, De Sica) and for a film to be made clear trash you complain. Haha!

  • M.O. George Romero's movies are the best

  • ive never watched this but i saw the cover to the vhs n its fn brutal about to download now

  • Yo guys I am 14 i love this movie I want to watch City of the living dead and the beyond but i heard that the zombies fly an have super strength will i be too scared it sounds pretty frightening to me *shudders*

  • @FearlessHQ

It's pretty freaky, but I don't think either is any more frightening than Zombi 2. If you liked this movie, you need to see The Beyond and City of the Living Dead, you will love them!

  • Along with Romero`s "Dawn of the Dead" one of the best Zombi movies ever made. Make up and gore effects are incredibly realistic and the end scenes are bombastic. 5 Stars out of 5

  • Zombie, Zombies 2, Zombi 2, Zombie 2, Zombi, Zombi2...shit, this movie has alot of titles and none of them are an offical title or they all are.

  • @KevsHardLemonade I'll try to explane from my Italian point of view: Zombi is the italianization of the english word Zombie. We use (of better used to use) the word Zombi to indicate one or more Zombie/s. So the italian title is Zombie and the english one is Zombies. Then, the number 2 is to indicate the relation with the first Zombies of Romero even if it is the first movie for Fulci. Is everything clear?

  • And I was the idiot who decided it was a good idea to eat Chicken Lo Mein while watching this.

  • holy shit zombie bite a shark wtf

  • Olga Karlatos is gorgeous!

  • This Fulci's best movie. The Beyond and COTLD after, but this is just, dreamy, creepy and amazing.

  • i got it today.. im watching it right now

  • man best scene is when that bitch gets her eye poked with that piece of wood

  • xD older then my grandma ;D but not bad

  • Oh god amazing movie is amazing.

  • No related to Romero's but could have been; it would have fit perfectly as a prequel to Dawn of the dead.

Anyway, italien did make a lot of movie stealing the biggest successess ideas at the time (they talk about it on the bonuses of the french dvd) and Fulci didn't had lot of time and even less of a budget to make this rip off; the zombies were mostly covered by clay because no money for make-up.

But Fulci's movie was a hit, one of the best zombie movies ever.

Didn't make Romero happy tho lol

  • BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER MADE CHOPS!!!!!! hahaha! ;) iz me!

  • for a movie that was made in 70-90, this looks sooooooo awesome :D

  • LOL - Bad Dubbing, I just love it!

  • Woman gets put in her place 0:42

  • @Rudylikesfun

Stupid women, she KNOWS she has to stay in the kitchen. Stupid.. stupid..

  • @Rudylikesfun nah mate, 1:17 :)

  • I knew that; I meant in the context of that cash-in. Is it that they at least "sold" it as a sequel to Dawn ... Even though the zombie apocalypse starts at the end of Fulci's film, although the content was that of a prequel to Romero's film? A great download, by the way.

  • Wasn't there some talk about Quentin Tarantino remaking The Beyond a few years back? Anyone know what came of this? As for this film: was it really intended as a prequel to Dawn of the Dead? When I get some spare time I might watch zombie 2, then Dario Argento's "Dawn", to see how it flows. Still; let Sleeping Corpses Lie was titled Zombie3 in some places--where does that fit in; plus Fulci's "sequel" to Zombie 2 ...

  • @Aztec35361 Zombie 2 was the sequal and he just fucked it up by puting all zombies where killed at the end making all of George Romerp's films a lie

  • @Aztec35361 This movie has no connection to Dawn of the Dead, other than that in Italy, it was called Zombi 2, beacuse Dawn of the Dead was title Zombie there, to cash in on it

  • necro the rapper sampled the music at the end to make a sick beat

  • BEST BEST ZOMBIE FILM EVAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • classic film luv it

  • they should remake this top notch movie, but call it just zombie not zombie 12345 ect, the zombie makeup was awsome they realy look dead not blue zombies like dawn of the dead which was also a great shocker, but the makeup look like a child did it at arts & crafts at school, bring back the old school zombie films& also put this fulcis zombie movie music in a remake its scares the pants off me every time i hear it, so spooky

  • awsome film

  • I think the italians approach to horror is more artistic and surreal, Directors like Argento and Fulci especially. I think this is definitely one of fulci's most comprehensible films

  • These zombies look way cooler than the blue skinned ones on dawn of the dead.

  • dawn of the dead is most legendary on colors zombie movie, most legendary is of course nold(i you dont understand, fuck you)

  • 1:15 - Personally I would have used my FREE hands to move that wood splinter and with a majority of people it would have been instinct.

  • Lucio Fulci-F***ing horror master.

Only thing that made this film bad--Acting

  • The thing I know about this movie is

this was written before "Dawn Of The Dead"

As you must know, DOTD was successful

and Zombie 2, just take advantage of this

    to earn more money.

  • this Italian movie,1979years show,this Title "Zombi2",很經典的老電影了,中文譯名是(生人迴避_蛆魔),我想實際片名應該譯為殭屍吧。zombie=殭屍。

  • Uh, this is Zombie.

  • brilliant this and dawn of the dead 1978.

  • 0:44 lol, wtf

  • Boomer!!!

  • @TheCGIMaster Just too similar to be a coincidence.

  • @TheCGIMaster

lmao "boomer"....although i saw this movie way back in the 80s thats exactly what that first fat zombie looked like lol

  • One time I had dream that i was walking down my hallway and i was using the bathroom then when I came out a ugly zombie bit me in my neck and rip out right eye then i died woke up.

  • I have one question...HOW did the zombie curse or infection spread to New york? Answer me plzzzzzzzz

  • The zombie that got shot off the boat in New York Harbour came from the island where the curse began. so he fell into the water, got out, bit a person, then that person got transformed, bit another person and so on.

  • The fat zombie at the beginning, he fell into the water and no one found him! I don't know if you have seen Romero's movies, but there, the zombies could walk underneath the water.

  • dont you remember the first scene on the boat the police man is getting killed by the fat zombie?

After he get killed he was dragged into an autopsy lab where you can see his hand moving on the autopsy table. so the whole curse, virus, infection.... however you explain it spread all over new york honey ;)

  • Where did my vhs go. I got so pissed off when I was small because my brother put this on. But now i want to watch the whole thing!

  • Awesome movie!

    Also check out....... thedead-movie

It looks pretty damn good too!

  • I remember watching this movie on my friends BETA machine

  • God, I miss that grainy VHS look. DVD and Blu-Ray just don't cut it.

  • were is the song from and whats it called i know it from something

  • Italian horror arent about realism. They're like long allegorical nightmare sequences. Its more like Alice in Wonderland than Friday the 13th.

  • @Silvertrine you are a poor fool because Americans have always called the Italians for the scenery, photos, effects, music, etc. .. then please be silent you do most good impression

  • @Silvertrine You're right. They're marvellous.

  • I Like it :)

  • lolz

  • In the famous eye penetrating scene, why doesn't the girl move the piece of wood with her hands so it wouldn't hit her eye?

  • because then there would be no eye penetration

  • fulci/italian horror movies always have holes in the logic like that. Like how the other girl just stands there for a full 60 seconds in front of the zombie before he kills her w/out making any attempt to run away. Things like these always bug me

  • In the U.K it's zombie flesh eaters I think. If you want to know more go watch AVGN's chronologicaly confused video

  • Comment removed

  • Is that the ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD? Awesome, didn't know he'd touched on this!

  • Isn't this Zombie Flesh Eaters? I remember it but not as Zombie 2...

  • here in Italy .ZOMBI 2 (because Romero's Dawn of the Dead is ZOMBI)

    in USA: ZOMBIE (without numbers)

    in UK :ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS

  • Ah yeah I read more into this online and found out. Interesting stuff. Thanks for your reply too.

  • the music is haunting

  • I was 13 when I first watched this movie.I never slept for months! I mean,I knew it wasn't real but it truly terriffied me at the time.I watch it to this day and it still manages to scare the absolute shit out of me.Many nights I have lain in my bed in the dark thinking of this! Fuckin hell,it still packs a punch.Classic : )

  • A Masterpiece

  • what is this for sh1t?

  • This is by all means my favorite zombie film ever, and 2nd favorite next to The Evill Dead (1982)

    R.I.P Lucio Fulci

  • the trailer freaked me out i couldnt sleep and when i saw the movie i wouldnt speep

  • i remeber when i first saw this trailer

  • The only good thing about that movie is the first 10 minutes. Very scary and atmospheric. After the initial shock values, it sucked.

  • Classic!

  • I'm gonna watch this movie soon, I suppose. Do you have to watch Zombie 1 first? I haven't heard anything about that one - more about this one.

  • Technically, George Romero's 1978 "Dawn of the Dead" is "Zombie 1". Dario Argento was a producer for Dawn and obtained rights for the film in Europe, where it was released as "Zombi". It was wildly successful, and to capitalize on it's success, Lucio Fulic made the unofficial sequel "Zombi 2". It was released in the states simply as "Zombie".

Anchor Bay has released the Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition, which includes three cuts of Dawn, including Argento's cut "Zombi".

  • Wow! Okay, didn't know that. Does Romero have made original versions of 'Land of the Dead' and 'Day of the dead' or are those just spin-offs of the remake? Thanks for uploading this trailer by the way. I love exploitation movies' trailers.

  • Romero made "Day of the Dead" in 1985 and it was subsequently remade in 2008... The remake was awful. "Land of the Dead" was made by Romero in 2005 and it has yet to be remade (cross your fingers). Romero also made "Diary of the Dead" in 2007, which takes place at the same time as "Night" and isn't so much of a sequel as it is a companion film.

"Survival of the Dead" (or "... of the Dead") is the next sequel, which will be out some time soon.

  • I found Land of the Dead not so cool when I saw it. But that was a couple of years ago when I found that every movie before 2000 sucked. Man, what was I wrong! I shall watch Land of the Dead again, but first I'm gonna watch Night of the Living dead. I believe that's the first Romero movie, right? It's in black and white - but so was Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and that movie rocked. If you like to talk more about zombiemovies, perhaps we should switch to PM! Thanks a lot for all the info!

  • I think Remero needs to sit the next one out possibly. Land of the Dead was pretty bad, and Diary of the Dead was pretty bad as well. I'm not seeing a good trend.

I'd like to see Zack Snyder who did the remake of Dawn of the Dead tackle this next one.

  • I agree with you 110%

  • @boranboy THE ORIGINALS ARE BETTER, i was just stating that the first remake of night of the living dead was better but i also did like dawn of the dead, wish it was so more of a horror than an action horror film, but i guess its safe to say romero has fucked up his movies lately, i wish i had the money to produce a zombie film, i would bring remoro along but only because he has alot fo experience and i like his visions on his films....just sucks that it looks too holywood

  • damn! and i thought i was a zombie freak....personally i dont care about directors just make me a good zombie movie that will scare the living out of me....why is it that every zombie movie (or horror for that matter) theres always people doing karate move!? and why does it seem like everyone has the infinite ammo cheat on? i like the old ones when there were 5 ppl and 2 guns and only 1 knew how to use it.

  • @choptop As a kid I remember seeing a movie on TV where zombies enter a house the family are trapped and when the undead break in the survivors rush upstairs - in one scene which haunts me - one of the guys kicks down the stairs a baby or a mother and her baby (maybe in a carriage?) so he can escape. I recall the movie ending with zombies walking over a bridge at night into the big city. I was too young to remember any other details. Any clues to what movie? 70s or early 80s.

  • @choptop

I'm nitpicking but Lucio Fulci's Zombie 2 is a prequel not the sequel to Romeros Dawn of the Dead. It is the story how the zombie came to America. The only other explaination for it was in a japanese version of Dawn where a voice over comment talked about a meteor impact that spread a virus.

  • @llothar68

Actually, it's neither a sequel or a prequel. It was only released as "Zombi 2" in Europe to play off of the success of the original "Dawn of the Dead", which was released internationally as simply, "Zombi". Fulci's film is in no way related to Romero's.

  • @choptop Wasn't there a more recent film called "Zombi 1" as a parody of that?

  • the reason you havent heard of zombi 1 is cuz it was only realesed in italy, then when zombi 2 was realesed in italy they released zombi 1 in the US calling it zombie 2

  • There is no Zombi 1.Zombi 2 is a unofficial sequel to Dawn of the Dead, which was released in Italy as Zombi.

  • i'll have to do a remix of the musick in this movie.

  • I think I saw Jesus on the bridge!

  • that would suck if that guy really had to swim in the east river. i think if you did you would turn into a zombie

  • When you say you were laughing at every scene, so that means you were laughing at the rape scene???If so you're kind of messed up.

  • Yeah those movies were really bad.

  • If they remake this film I will be very mad!!!

  • Why?

  • Because it is a classic, and you shouldn't remake classic's. They have remade classics like like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes, and a reboot of Friday the 13th, but the originals were always better. Besides if any director were going to remake this movie they would take some heat for remaking a classic movie that has earned respect. Also if this movie was remade, the remake probably wouldn't be as good as this movie is. This movie is AWESOME!!!!

  • the original The Hills Have Eyes was laughable bad. Please.

  • No it wasn't. What are you trying to prove anyways. Your not in this conversation.

  • then you have a very poor taste in horror sir. I watched it twice with friends and there was no brick shitting moment, we were laughing all the time.

And for your information: this is youtube not your garden.
