why shouldn't dogs eat raw meat? i'm sincerely interested. supposedly, there's very little genetic difference (minute) between a domestic dog & a wolf. commercial dog food has only been around for about 100 years, so how, after so very long in the wild (1000's of years) is a dog suddenly not able to eat raw meat?
Kitchen gloves, parchment paper, large bowl, cutting knife, Lysol sanitizing wipes. Thats all you need, now shut up and talk about how to make the dog food.
the video is called working with raw meat and she said she's gonna talk about how to handle raw meat and that's what she did, idiots. anything else should have been self explanitory...there's not much to it..
A dog's digestive system is impervious to many bacterias that can be fatal to humans; the sanitation is for us, not them. I don't think they're affected by salmonella. I was looking for a recipe; tips on choosing types of meat and processing, packaging and storing the end product.
@BrookeMonfort dogs do get infected by salmonella. it often leads to gastroenteritis, spontaneous abortions, and septicemia. It can be transmitted to human.
LADY! just throw a RMB to your dog and give organs once a week. that simple. If ya take it straight out of the container in the freezer or fridge, take it outside and throw it to your dog instead of spending time mixing it and being all delacate you don't have to clean.
I stay away from bleach. I keep a large spray bottle w a mixture of vinegar, rubbing alcohol, & water on the sink at all times. Easy to spray everything down, including hands & sink, every time I work with raw meat (several times a day for the dogs). Thanx for the vid.
Hey just a thought for you. But 1, sanitation: you should wear gloves, and 2. warm water won't kill bacteria by itself, try lysol or 50/50 with bleach and water. You can rinse the surface in warm water afterwards if you don't like the bleach being on the counter top.
That's just our experience from a professional kitchen. There's too much risk of cross-contamination if you aren't using an anti-bacterial on the counter tops.

Imagine, feeding an opportunistic carnivore, like a dog, real meat. Then you wash off your counter. The end!

She forgot to mention to put the dog in the dishwasher after eating the meat.
Jesus, just get that chicken out of the package, give it to your dog and clean up. You don´t have to study dog-feeding...

kitchen sanitation is not related to feeding dogs?
beerndumplings 1 year ago
@HEDGEFUNDPIMP True that, i think she also needs to eat all the dog food she was cooking coz she talks like hse haven't eat in a long time. .lol
jecoholic08 1 year ago
Yes, that is true, but only with cooked bones. Raw bones are fine to feed.
RoborovskiLover 2 years ago
isn't chicken or bird bones dangerous because they can splinter and hurt the dogs intestines?
DLRB 2 years ago
Only cooked bones splinter. Either way it's best to supervise all feedings because thousands of pets choke on kibble every year.
