Why did they put up the smoke streamers around the bomb? In nuclear tests sounding rockets were used that left smoke trails so that the effects of the shock wave could be visualized. This looks like a game developer mimicking something that they don't understand.

it's all in-game effects. I'm sure it's not modeled, but it's using very nice "3d looking" textures.

The explosion is particle based. It is constructed entirely out of 2D sprites (Like ALL effects in ANY game), but these sprites are packed close together and always face the camera, making the overall effect fully 3D.

I once had C&C Tiberian Sun, I had all the recommended requirements, but it wouldn't work. I goggled and such and found out my graphics card wasn't compatible with the game. Just look up graphics card game compatibility and you'll find fucking lists.

Nukes aren't used to destroy anything. If you attack a country, you can only launch a limited amount of nukes before the country retaliates. So the thing is to cripple the country, touching mainly it's millitary facilities, water and food supplies and so on. You don't even need to destroy the big towns. If you just blow up the towns the country will still be able to retaliate. So yes, they are tactical, but on a whole country level.

Yeah that would work on a country the size of Switzerland maybe. Even though if they had nukes I bet they could still have some operational after a single nuke. But for like France you would need to be very tactical in where you throw your bombs. It could take thousands of bombs to totally wipe out the whole country if you just drop them randomly.
