There have been MANY attempts at recreating this effect by MANY people and not a one has been able to do it yet. You would need to use the recording and editing equipment from the time period to even make a "debunking" recreation authentic.

At the moment the reflection blinks the rest of the features are sitting deadpan still.

If it was in fact a simple replay of the girl blinking in the mirror then the head would have to be in the same position it was in when the first blink was recorded, which it is not.

If you watch it carefully, which I have, she blinks while TURNING to the mirror, not while looking directly at it.
