Wow. It always gets me when he echos the "I could be in love with someone like you" line. It's really the 'wow, what happened to them??' moment for me. Good performance
It's a great song. It's interesting to see the character's thoughts change in the dialogue. He starts out feeling guilty, then begins to blame it on his wife, and decides by the end of the song to stop loving her. It's a lot of emotional change for one song, and I think this actor did a great job handling it.
i'm sure there's something about not cheating on your wife as well, but he seems to have done that. and having been in a non jewish relationship for 5 years, he technically could have got the tattoo during the marriage.
Great Performance my one problem is with whomever did the makeup......Jamie is Jewish and i think that the actors tattoos should have been covered, that aside i think everything else is spot on
They aren't making up rules for modern trends....it's biblical and has been part of the Jewish Religion from the very beginning. It's the whole, your body is a temple and desicrating it in any way is a sin thing....
He´s not an ortodox. Since when a modern ,liberal jew can not have a tatoo. Boy have you ever been in a theater. instead of watch pieces of shows in the UTube ,with bad picture and sound.. . You need help .
I disagree....in Shiksa Goddess he talks about he is finally breaking away from teh traditions by dating a non-Jewish woman...implying that although it drives him nuts, he has always followed what was mandated......the tattoos should be covered....

Maybe they did the original production, where Shiksa Goddess wasn't included, and they did I Could Be In Love With Someone Like You instead.

i think it kind of fits with his character, while he IS Jewish he makes remarks about how hes tired of the traditions.
