an energy beyond words. thanks for the post. i'm a life long fan of these drug induced, beer soaked idols especially when bobby stinson was alive and still in the band. also, i dug squirrel bait, the band, back in the day. were you affiliated?
Yall agree the early 80s U.S punk/independent scene had the good shit back then compared to the post Pistols U.K.? Amazingly nearly 30 years ago.... Replacements, Black Flag, Bad Brains, and more. Compared to PIL, GBH, Exploited, Buzzcocks. etc, except for Joy Division.
The states seemed more pure with power and passion, as oppossed to haircuts and attitude. Care to disagree...well do ya punk?

No relation, just always thought it was a goofy/cool name and I was pretty sure that 90 percent of people wouldn't recognize it.

Perhaps the very best early 'Mats song ("I'm In Trouble"). And their most rocking single.

"Spend my cash, waste my time.
Take out the trash, not this time."
My first band covered this, my god I love this band!

This was my second fav. song on the "Sorry Ma" LP.
The Replacements could really put *the collective ordinary crap we're going through an'stuff* into musical poetry.

I think every fake ass band out there has at least a hundred lessons to learn from the 'mats.
It's so wonderful to see the 7th look exactly the same as it does now. Thanks for the upload.

The Replacements were the best rock and roll band in the United States once. This is testament to why this was the case. They were truly great.
