seeing how the ford is built it dose not suprice me at all if it had a stock 6.
the crumple zones do make them very waek, but can be fixed with some steel, and be better than a 81-86 wich like the 70's and 60's had a c frame through out. and its funny no one thinks a crumple zone dont matter, its why the 77-now gms suck, and why you have to pre bend and cut the frames
woch a few of wtr1050s videos and you will see a better built ford f-250, with a 305sbc, 400 turbo combo.
Jeez that is a MASSIVE suburban!!!! that thing has at least another 3 or 4 derbys left in it!!! I have to admit though, that ford put up a hell of a fight against a monster like that suburban!!!
WTR1050, Is the sky blue in your world? What does a crumple zone have to do with anything here?? lol...The fact that he's (#20) running a 4.9 straight 6 in itself is amazing, but then again those are diehard engines. Crumple zone, sheez, what next you worried about the airbags? lol...
what does a crumple zone have to do with anything???youre an idiot, truly stupid...a crumple zone is a purposely designed weak point in the structure of more modern vehicles, designed to bend very easilly in an accident to absorb impact..in a derby you DONT want your vehicle to bend easilly..get it??sheez!
dude your retatrded read what he just said and what u just said. he said truck was not hard enough for a derby because of the crumple zones. and u said u dont want it to bend. well duh dipshit thats what he just said. and bend is good bubba. only if it bends up never down.
i think what he was trying to say is you dont want to run a truck with a crumple zone. which hes right its stupid...truck will fold up just like it did. crumple zone has a lot to do with it....whats next somebody will say you can just take those out and weld on the frame, then i will start calling peolple stupid. another thing that makes me laugh thats an early 90s ford got the same bodystyle as my work truck theres no staright 6 in that. if any swap was done at all it was to a chevy 350
that teaming on the bronco was bull shit tho i feel some what sorry for that dude

Is #20 an idiot? That year ford has crumple zones in the front of the frame. guess he couldnt care less about that.
