  • Sounds great as always Juampy! This kind of improvisation is the future!

  • @GreyJazz90 Thanks a lot my friend for such comments!!all the best !happy new year!

Saludos.

  • wow that stuff was amazing, never even knew about set theory. anyone know if this guy has any albums out?

  • I hope you get a chance to enjoy the new bsAs winter. All wellness to you, my friend !!

  • Of the so many things I admire about your playing, this goes out to the AMAZING design of S. Aprile's handiwork. The balance of the neck is in perfect playing position for your across the neck stylings. And I noticed just on this video that the cord comes out the BACK at the SIDE, not the top or the bottom. And the intonation, PERFECT for the twelve tone playing.

  • @str8ngrrr Thanks my friend, German Aprile's guitar is really trusty for me, I can play on the upper side of the neck with strong entonation and it's confortable too, I can' play these atonal lines in some other guitar, send a big hug amigo, all the best.

  • An old teacher of mine, Bruce Arnold, uses these subsets to great effect as well. They are really quite interesting, but I'd like to be able to hear the dissonance before I activate it in improvisations. Have you ever mixed these sets with more traditional jazz lines as a vehicle to go in and out of the harmonies?

  • @pickinstone Thanks for your comment, I took one lesson with Bruce, and he is wonderful, but I think he has a different approach to this sets, mostly uses and investigates trichords, or smaller sets, in this clip I'm playing over a 9 notes set, and about your question, is possible play this kind of sound over traditional jazz harmonies like ii V I, in fact, I play with my trio (Powerjazz Trio)in this way, among other ideas. All the best!!

  • Ahhh this guy is so good.

  • @BlikeNave thanks a lot!!all the best.

  • @juampyjuarez I've seen some of your others stuff and your voicings are fantastic. Definitely satisfies my hungry jazz appetite :]
