Damn, I just can't stop looking and listening to these old clips of Diana. The Madonnas, MJ Bliges, and "Gagyas" may come and go, but I love me some classic Diana. She's timeless. No one brought it all together back then or now like she did.
diana , aretha , and dionne are the 3 original divas they all complemented each other in their autobiographies. no one today can last as these 3 did .
Diana and Aretha dipped into each other's catalog with exciting results around this time. Aretha used to perform Reach Out & Touch at the end of her concerts around 1970-71. Diana recorded a version of I Love You (Call Me) that was nominated for a Grammy I think.
The both did excellent covers of You're All I Need to Get By. Later on Aretha did a great version of It's My Turn and earlier Diana did a snippet of Respect on the TV special TCB (with the Supremes/Temptations).
