  • Yay Greek!

  • Cara i know this video is older, but i just have to say i agree with you.. i too have not connected to one certain God or one certain Goddess.. i guess for the most part i just generalized it to the God and Goddes.. good to know im not alone

  • @Kiraskye1128 Hah, and I'm sorry I'm just seeing your comment now, when you left it 3 months ago. But yeah, I still don't have specific ones that I work with. I figure the more I learn about, eventually they will come to me if it's meant to happen anytime soon. Here it is, two years later, and I'm still general.

  • I'm interested =P

  • Are those fangs? lol. Really kool video btw.

  • In Estonian mythology, which is somewhat still represented in older folklore here, every element had both sides represented. Like Mother of Water and Water spirit, that would then be old man of the water. Or Mother Wind and Father Wind. They were usually imaged as old wise people. The main god was simple Grandfather or Uku, the king of gods.

  • Your necklace is gorgeous! Just had to throw that out there xD

  • I love this vid!!.

Don't look at the others, just be yourself, you are a wonderfull person!!!

  • i agree with how you put it,

like as them all together but having diffrent aspects and such,

    love the vid~~

  • personally the way that I see it and this may because I am asatru but I see it as each diety is a separate being but all unified under the grand scheme of nature. Sort of a polythiestic henothiesm. However each god or goddess has their own attributes and personality that makes them unique and they are independant of each other and can conflict with each other. If the individual gods were just avatars of each other then they could not conflict with each other because they would be linked.

  • I would love to do it for sunday! I am searching for a path that is right fo me. I like wicca, but I'm interestd in Buddist ideas and hindu. I'm in college, in east texas (bible belt), but from tennessee. I was once a southern baptist. I can't think of anything else you might want to know. feel free to ask. :)

  • omg its a vampire! lol!! j/k! i for the most part agree with you. i dont have any set deity.

Yaay! Pagan Perspective with Cara! lol. Loved the video, you should take your camera outdoors more often! Personally I don't believe in deity to be a being separate from us like a christian might. I think deity exists in our own psyche. I see the gods/goddess' as archetypes that we can use to access those parts of our own being that is devine in nature.

    5*s!!

  • Hello!

  • I am not sure about all gods being one god. how can they have so so many aspects at the same time. Especially with conflicting personalities, like a god of war and a goddess of love. I think there must be a whole community of gods and goddesses just like there is with people and animals and plants.

thanks, your so fun to watch :) whats the name of your channel?

  • Well, I don't think they ARE one God, of course. But I don't like the idea of only choosing to work with one aspect at a time UNLESS I actually only want one certain aspect in my working. So for default, I just have a nameless, all-encompassing pair. (This is my channel, by the way.)

  • wouldn't it be more accurate to say "gods and goddesses" if you dont actually believe they ARE one god and one goddess? - Annika (sorry I'm still logged on to PP it take like 5 hours for my video to load and I couldnt wait that long to comment :P )

  • In a word, no. Because I think all the others are just different culture's views on the one thing that's out there. My God and Goddess are singular representations of the rest, since I hardly use specific ones. And I don't think of what I call God and Goddess the same as, say, Athena, Apollo, Anubis, or any of those. I still view individual deities (those in the various pantheons) as separate "beings," but mostly work with generalized "higher being."

  • It's kind of like the Christian concept of the trinity, they are all seperate but they're all one at the same time... never made sense to me. n_n

  • Yay! Great video!

  • The lion and unicorn on the royal coat of arms of Great Britain represents England and Scotland respectively.

  • I never thought of that!

  • Awesome video and lol at the end :-) I think what you said makes perfect sense. Loved this video. Thank you! BB x

  • YAY! Glad to see you! :) And I love everything you said :) ♥♥

  • I am also a hard polytheist and while I respect other people's choice of views, I find it hard to listen to things like, "All gods are one God etc..." Being that many religions taught mutually exclusive things about their deities, I find it a stretch that each one was just an aspect of some Whole Being. After all, Yahweh says he is the only true god. So how can Yahweh be a part of a group of "faces" that includes Pan, Osiris and others? It seems many people have leftover monotheist baggage.

  • As a Germanic Heathen I see the Deities as the names and roles assigned within the Eddas. Not every aspect of a God/Goddess are in agreement, and this is where I disagree with eclectic belief structure of making a "stew" out of the multitude of deities found throughout human history. (no disrespect is meant towards anyone.)

  • Like you I see the "triplities" and being from a catholic background and still use some of the virgin mary's aspects in workings, however, being polytheist I see each phase such as crone,as being its one ego and not simply a phase, if you know what I mean....

great to see yew back n with yewr computer!=]

  • Maiden/Mother/Crone type stuff is a whole different story, in my opinion. But I do know what you mean. Like all three could exist at once standing next to each other and working together, rather than each one becoming the other. I think even though we think of it as phases (like in the moon) lots of people call upon certain aspects of certain times as though they are separate. I don't see why not.

  • ps how comes a lion and a unicorn? that is the coat of arms for uk, it is a lion in a crown and a unicorn in chains... not sure what thats supposed to symbolise lol.

  • For me, the reasoning is that the unicorn and the dragon were always my favorite "fantasy" creatures through childhood, and the white unicorn went with the moon. And the lion is because I'm a Leo, and the sign's characteristics actually fit me so I'm particularly proud of it. And I love all types of big cats. My father's family is from somewhere in the UK, but not sure where as I don't know him/haven't talked to him.

  • Why is it important to have one god and one goddess? Why not 6 gods and 8 goddesses, if you know what I mean? It may be good to talk about Kabbalah and how that contributed to Wicca.

  • This was a really great video! You voiced my thoughts on this subject, essentially.

And I have to ask...where did you find your necklace? It's so beautiful.

    )O(

    boo

  • Really well explained. I found this video quite inspiring =]
