Great effort, only thing I'd suggest is to have the guitarist learn the faster eigth note segments that happen before the chorus and the crazy organ kicks in, turn the bass up louder, and have the drums time a little more closer to the game's drum time segments. If you do this, and remaster this track with my suggestions, making it sound more thrash metal-esque, I'll definitely say this is full of win. Still, I applaud the efforts, great job!

@strombada Um I mean all the subsequent releases included a Final Boss Theme. I am well aware that the Nintendo Entertainment System only used "Battle Scene" for the last boss theme. I am just saying they should do a cover of the one subsequent to all other releases.

You guys are great! I've also noticed that there are two Final Fantasy cover bands, one on one continent and the other on the other. I'll start the one hear in the U.S. I'll call it The Rebel Army or something. =P

Not bad, not bad at all. For all those who are particular fans of this theme like myself, I suggest checking out the Distant Worlds version, which is one of the best versions of the song I've heard.

This particular version is well done, it seems closer to the original in both style and intent than most of the others I've heard, and where it lacks in sheer/energy power that I've felt from otehrs, it makes up for in giving me the feel of actually being a part of that battle again. Good show!

Red Wings win. They don't just take the original mostly-synthesised tune and make a guitar go chug-chug-chug in the background for four minutes like The Black Mages do.

hey, so Grand Cross wasn't so great - but the Black Mages have more hits than misses, IMO. Their version of Big Bridge is my favorite, for example, because they give the source tune proper treatment while also expanding upon the original (and because Nobuo's solo is epic). The Rock Opera version of Aria de Mezzo Caraterre was also brilliant.

That said, the Red Wings are a great band. They do exactly what they set out to do: give classic video game tunes the sound quality they deserve. homage!

Gilgamesh's rep hasn't been the same since that viral video with the GIRUGAMESH thing that seems to be popular these days, the thing is, his rep wasn't that great to begin with, he's a cool looking mini boss who you can steal some neat stuff from, but his theme music was what made him memorable.
