Capt. Shawn Pittman shows off a quick bowline knot

He just tied a quick Angler's Loop or "Tugboat Bowline" ... its not a true bowline. This know will jam, and is only really good for bungee cord where a bowline will slip... or if you're in a real hurry with no time to tie a true bowline and don't mind cutting the rope latter.

how the heck will you get that knot undone after it tightens up on itself.

Granted its a kewl knot to see and looks similar to a bowline however the beauty of a bowline is you will always get it undone and your rope is reusable.

The knot you tied is better off called a KNIFE knot cause you will need a knife to cut the rope which will be useless after you applied some tension.

@913los I've seen you make the same complaint to advertise your channel on about every video I've pulled up called "flying bowline". Yet, on your channel, you have a video demonstrating the bowline that is performed incorrectly. Fix your own videos if you're gonna leave complaints all over everyone else's videos.
