I am really digging Saints Row right now, but come on, don't bag on the game you're ripping off. If anything they should be thanking R* and cupping their balls and wiping their asses for the idea they stole. The cinematic and perfect writing from R*s games can't be matched by anyone. Matter of opinion really. I'll agree with the graphic stuff and nice narrative but the characters in SR2 and the immersion (Since you create your own char) is on another level completely then GTA. Mind you, I love both games but I'll fire up and play GTA (All of them) once for the story then to the 5$ bins. I kept all the SR games (1 & 2). So much more to do and fun to be had.

There seems to be a HUGE dang argument on EVERY simular video like this about SR2 vrs GTA4. Just Buy freakin both games!! They are like 20 bucks a piece, its not going to break you! These open world games don't have to have terrible graphics, I mean look at GTA 4- it was an open world game and had excellent graphics that still tax today's systems.
I found the graphics to be good. I'll admit the buildings are blocky, but there is zero uncanny valley with the characters, and the amount that you can customize your character is just incredible. Besides, SR2 was (for me) much more fun than GTA 4, which completely ditched the "zany fun" I enjoyed in the GTA series. I'd definitely rather play something fun with decent graphics and have it run smoothly than have something of medium entertainment value with excellent graphics lag on my system.

GTA 4 is way too linear and repatative. The game just feels SCRIPTED. Like every mission they want u to do it a certain way and progress through the game in a certain way. All the fun creative stuff is gone. It's a "pretty" game, but it lacks the crazyness that was GTA III, Vice City , and San Andreas. Fuck GTA 4, waste of fukin money/time. its too realistic in the sence that, they've paid more attention to the graphics than the gameplay, i agree, GTA IV has got better graphics, but Saints Row 2 is more fun, and yes i have played both of them, but this is just my oppinion if you dont agree, thats fine.

i agree, I havent played sr2(and i should sometime), but i'm sure it's like comparing postal to myst if you've played both. gta iv is fun, but im sure sr2 is more fun if you just want to kick back and do some killing. i personally think gta is very fun, though it can feel kind of bland at times, but i actually enjoy the realism, gives the game a little danger. that's just me, though, and i respect your preference.

i have played both, played saint row 2 first then gta 4 second, no comparison, gta 4 wins easily, i just couldnt get into saints row, the main character is too close to the screen for starters so its offputting, gta offers so much more than sr2

GTA IV hands down has better online than Saints Row, Saints Row is a game I can play with a friend, GTA IV is a game I can play with 16 friends. As much as I love both games, I'd have to say GTA IV wins. But It's a close tie between both.

GTA 4 is way too linear and repatative. The game just feels SCRIPTED. Like every mission they want u to do it a certain way and progress through the game in a certain way. All the fun creative stuff is gone. It's a "pretty" game, but it lacks the crazyness that was GTA III, Vice City , and San Andreas. Fuck GTA 4, waste of fukin money/time. I'm buying Saints row 1 and 2 tomorrow. hopefully it delivers

I have GTA4 and Saints row 2 and there is simply no comparison. GTA whips Saints rows ass. Its a pity cos I thought it was gonna be better. There are some things in Saints row that I would prefer compared to GTA but overall I would pick GTA any day of saints row.
