  • @thewillage as @aesoft2009 said you throttle was probably reversed but also your esc is too small for your motor if it blew. Check the max amps of your motor and get an ec a bit bigger eg. 20-25 amp motor get a 30 amp esc, 25-35 amp motor get a 40 amp esc.

  • @whythisway You can make them yourself at a printshop!

  • Totally unrelated to this video but how do you hang your models on the wall in the background? Looks nice!

  • @wbhartmanii Coat hangar wire.

  • @flitetest More specific please!! :D

  • David! :D

  • Is this something you do once for every new esc when setting up the TX?

I just had a plane blow an esc and I have know Idea why. I had tested it with a different TX bound to it all and it was working fine. Then I got a new fancy Flysky TH9x and was setting up the plane on it. Bound the RX, and when I plugged in again, motor just went full speed and my esc was blown out, motor maybe too, not sure yet. Throttle was for sure in the down/off position yet it still shot up like crazy. What happend?

  • @thewillage Maybe the throttle channel was reversed...

  • Awesome work guys - great for beginners. keep them coming. Why does Chad not do a bit more in front of the camera ??? He goes alright !!!

  • grrrrr, i waited since wednesday for THIS?!?!?

  • Thanks, I've been flying for a while, but I think these types of videos are always helpfull.

    Keep up the good work

    zappulmo

  • Thanks for this-I don't know if my question regarding ESC brakes on your recent funfighters inspired this, but thanks very much-love your channel!

  • Do the SS series work like that?

  • good tip thanks for the video.

  • @ dauphin1300. To a point yes. However understand that a prop has an airfoil just like a wing. So simply reversing the motor won't really work. You'll only get about 30% efficiency. Plus it may damage your prop. Get a pusher prop friend. You'll be better off

  • Dauphin1300. To a point yes. But understand that a prop has an airfoil just like a wing. Reversing the motor will make it a pusher HOWEVER. The airfoil will be reversed and you will only get about 30-50% efficiency. You'll lose so much power it won't be worth it. Buy yourself a pusher prop. You'll be much better off.

  • 0_0, no EPISODE ON MONDAY? NOOO

  • Does a normal prop become a pusher prop when you change the direction it spins in ?

  • @Dauphin1300 You would have to turn the prop around. A prop doesn't work well backwards.

  • @flitetest Please as you are the most amazing scratch builders attempt to make the T-65 X-wing from Star Wars... I have been watching you from the start. Thank you!

  • @fatmannelson100 We'd love to. We'll see.Thanks for the suggestion.

  • @flitetest ...you can just flip a prop over to make a pusher???!?? is that true????!??

  • you should do more fast tips.

  • Great job guys. I really like the effort you are putting into these.

  • I think you should emphasise in the video that you should unplug the battery before swapping the motor wires over

  • Will dave come back soon?, I miss his hysterical laughs lol

  • LOVE THIS SHOW !!!!!!!

  • Is he coming b ack!?!?!

  • david should grow a Mustasch, he would look like a swedish porn star

  • Awesome! That's using your noggins!!

  • valew obrigado !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the turnigy trust series esc calibrate everytime you plug them in! so dont start your heli in throttle hold or it will spool up as soon as you turn throttle hold off! lol work fine in planes though!

  • @danny9599 thanks for that info! Rob

  • Thank you

  • David went back to work at IKEA? :-(

  • Let me know if you need anymore decals made...

  • Thanks guys...

  • Nice tip guy's...How does that HK radio work for you?

  • for me the prop turned in the right direction???

  • Thank you...

  • has josh scott been reading the forum threads about cap gun cannons on rc planes?!

  • Nice one. Love these quick tips!

  • But how high can David's voice go?

  • @matthewboylan1 Up to the stars and beyond. Number One, engage!

  • Comment removed

  • @matthewboylan1 Yes, he's singing a little bit.

  • David is funny

  • @matthewboylan1 but can he blend?

  • Nice tip with the tape. Another way is to rest the prop loosely on the shaft, MINUS the hub, and fire up the motor at low power. The prop will turn very slowly and the direction can be assessed.

  • Hip Hip Hurray for David!!!

  • I'm curious, was this filmed before David went back to Over-seas (I think Sweden)? or is he back in the US?!?! Thanks for the helpful tip!

  • @rcpilotp51 It was when he was here. We shot 5 of these so we could slowly release them and pretend he's still hanging out with us.

  • Just want to say I really like your videos. You take what you do seriously without taking yourself so seriously. And pass a little kudos to the guys behind the scenes too, audio and camera operators. Keep up the great work guys.

  • Hey guys...do the turnigy TRUST esc´s work in this way? Thanks in advance! Rob

    good informative vid.

  • Might want to mention that on castle ESC's you have to do this by adjusting the ATV's in your radio...

  • can you set the endpoints on your girlfriend?

Or should i just use ether and a rag?

And when i said girl friend, i really meant the woman across the hall from me that i stalk.

  • hey, I did not know that... that is great.. thanks ;-)

  • I FUCKING LOVE SETTING MY END POINTS! best thing in the world.

  • bang! instant coment! nice guys!
