nice gameplay. i go to paintball jungle all the time. im a hornet. and i know what yu mean. personally whenever i feel a hit i always have someone check me if i cant see it before i take another shot, and bob has been really strict about it now. what do you mean by its in favor of the hornets? were usually outnumbered 10 to 1
Nice video my 12th birth day is in december....Iam looking kinda soon but ya know nice to be ahead....i want to know if this is a one party thing or if random people are there.Iam looking for just me and my family and friends so if this is a one party thing please shout at me!It looks fun but i want it indoors and smaller but i can't get every thing how i want it! wish it happen like that...Well again nice video and thank you so much!!
@favndev27 Cool. Yeah it is a fun event for a b-day. I'd recommend indoor for an event of that kind. Bay Area Paintball has a nice facility... Oh boo. They just _closed_ and their site was bapaintballDOTcom (make the DOTa .). That was nicest indoor facility in the SF BA. With Paintball Jungle they can do separate parties, so that you are just playing with your friends; that's recommended. Also look into Bear Creek losgatospursuitpaintballDOTcom I'd say Bear Creek would be better over PBJ.
the hornets are too hard on 13 year olds (like me) and i cleary shot a guy at 10 feet and didnt take his out it was a very fun day there but i dont like the people there should i go back? i have my own gun and its so fun paintballing here
Personally I'm not a fan of PBJ and there have been flame wars before when I bring this up. I prefer Bear Creek for fun friendly play. The Beeswax game is so loaded in favor of the Hornets it's ridiculous. I've had a number of occasions where I've hit folks and they just keep firing and don't check their own marks. That and the fact that the sides and angle of attack of the Hornets are the easiest on their field. Since they never change the rules (switch sides) for Beeswax it's not too exciting.
Forget PBJ, go to Sherwood Forest, which is next to PBJ, the Prices are the same for Co2, and the last time I was there, you can Fill Up your own HPA Tank and they have both 3000 and 4500 tables.
And as I mentioned to EGR, Sherwood Forest is a BYOP (Bring Your Own Paint) Field, which is a Major Plus compared to PBJ where everyone is forced to pay and use Field Paint....which everyone knows Field Paint sucks.
I'm using the camera supplied by HelmetCamera. This particular video is using the older recorder though which is low resolution. Check out their site helmetcameraDOTcom for specs
I just want to know about the Q loader. I've been looking into it and generally people say it's unreliable but others say it's good. I just wanted to ask you since you've played with it in this video
It's pretty reliable, just not very sturdy. I'm using a setup similar to the one in this video, with a Tac-One and the q-loader mounted behind it (although I put it on a home made stock instead of below it). The q-loader, once setup right, works very well. So *if* that suits your style of play, go for it!
However, the plastic of the spirals inside the pods and of the CMS (socket) sucks. Also, don't buy the generation 1 pods!
It's reliable, but maintenance is higher than a standard hopper. A lot of folks may get frustrated by this extra maintenance and or break it though I understand QLoader will replace parts and such. I've had a good experience with my setup, but there was a little bit of a learning curve. It's fantastic for CQB (as long as it's not front mounted!) and/or a get up close and personal style of play.
EvilFingers: I know! It's been a while. I haven't made it out much in '09 due to breaking my trigger finger twice! Err. Not playing paintball. I'm also really making a strong push to publicly launch a product / software company becoming a 1st party tech provider rather than 3rd party contractor, so that has been a tremendous 24/7 time sink! I also have move video to edit from Mad Max / last game at Travis AFB; unfortunately vid was on bad HD so lost some.
Its all good man, do what you gotta do to make Ends meet, so drop me a PM if and when you wanna get together for Paintballing...not at PBJ, I Sherwood Forest would be fine, since its a BYOP Field.
I haven't been to Paintball Jungle in a year+ at this point. Err random story I guess on your part.. And the beeswax game. Playing the same loaded game scenario week after week against recreational players is hardly a challenge. "Laying 30 rounds into him" is overshooting and you'd be called out as well at most other fields / scenario events. If the hornets played with mech markers against the unwashed recreational masses then beeswax might actually mean something.. course just my opinion. ;P
Interesting to see a setup like that. What did you attach the q-loader socket to? From the looks of it it's on the right hand side next to the bottom of the grip, pointing backwards.
I also use a tac-one (warp-left) with a q-loader, and I ended up mountain it on top of the stock, with the CMS opening pointing backwards.
ha that field looks sweet; don't really have a field with a forest area like that in my area. Pretty cool vid overall, you might wanna work on your stamina though lol :P Just an observation/kiddin.
I haven't been in a while, but of any of the outdoor fields PBJ seems like the best bet to have more than enough folks show up on any given weekend day. I've been there even on drizzling / overcast mornings and more than enough showed up for decent fun.
Every shot falls left/right in the reticle. Elevation is gauged on distance and it provides a large target to make quicker calls. 150ft out aim an inch over target. Trumps a red dot on visibility/no tunnel vision/greater viewing angles and the reticle appears projected onto the target. CQB/snap shooting/NV is neat w/ it. It is built like a tank/waterproof. Easier to lead running targets. Most of all chicks dig it! mmm cough.
In this video it was useless as batteries ran out the game before. ;P
I absolutely like it and consider it indispensable. I first got a 14" barrel, but have since moved to an 8" barrel as it is now available through the web site. The 8" shoots just as accurately as the 14" for all practical purposes. Also the newer barrels are straight ported which reduces further spin on the ball (though a very minor thing). My 14" bought at the beginning of the year is not straight ported.
I recently also got an Ego 08 and use the 8" DW barrel on it and it is golden.
The helmetcameradotcom web site offers a few add on items. I use the goggle strap mount and kind of jimmy in a flat piece of plastic in between a part of my mask and use elastic bands that are also provided to hold it in place.
The camera and recorder are from helmetcamera(dot)com. They actually are just releasing a new DVR recorder next week that has greatly increased resolution 720X480 instead of 320X240, so the videos will be even better soon. Hopefully with the new DVR there might be controls over compression settings too.

The only longbow part is the magazine receiver which is hooked up to the QLoader. Also I have a custom stock drop, so that also changes the look too.
