It definitely had a different sound, like how all the other albums changed in sound, but in my opinion you're right, it didn't fit Slipknot.

@dtlaiho What most don't realize is that Corey actually played in Stone Sour for 5 years before he was recruited into SlipKnoT. He changed who he was for SlipKnoT, but now he's returning to his roots. Granted, he should keep songs like this in SS. SlipKnoT do need to go back to "People=Shit". But, still, Corey can't be #8 all the time. That's just a character like Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, etc, so I think it's nice to get to see the real Corey Taylor, though he is better suited for SS.

It must be hard to stay in character when your real life catches up to you. I mean, again, I miss the old SlipKnoT and #8 just as much as the next Maggot, but I can understand completely if I never see that again, especially since they lost Paul (which hit Corey REALLY hard. I saw him on NY Ink getting a tattoo of Paul and he broke down crying). RIP #2.

Can I just say I think SlipKnoT is great, but I don't like Snuff, or much else on the same album.

But I did love the Vermillion ballad, so I'm not against something "lighter" or anything.

It just had something darker and more disturbing than this pop-rock sounding track.

It's just not fit SlipKnoT, no matter how much anyone hammers on it.
