monarch1957--if it had a 239 flattie it was a 53 not a 54. 54 had the 1rs Y-block OVERHEAD valve V-8. Every thing else except for trim was pretty much the same.
My dad have a 54 Customline 4 door just like yours but it was white with a blue roof. He said it was a very good car It had a 239 flathead V8 under the hood.

1953 was the last year of the 239. in 54 they went to the y blocks which is what this is
