HAHAHA. No these guys were really good; even the best can get caught off guard sometimes, and I happened to get really lucky. Perfectly timed (by accident) air blasts, confusion, and the fact that it was really late at night all helped.

The pyro class is too fast, he's meant to ambush, not to W+M1 everyone, how can you run that fast with a flame-thrower anyway? Nice kills none-the-less.

Try and ambush with a slow class, it doesn't work. Pyro needs the mobility, he has very limited range and his weapon does low dps compared to other weapons in its attack range. The faster you can get to a position the more useful you are in offense.

@Luxai Actually I have. Several times, during the past 4 years. My conclusion is that SHE is easy (for the pyro is a woman, is she not?).

Sure, like all classes, the pyro is hard to MASTER, but when it comes to just getting alot of kills, the pyro is by far the easiest class, demanding little awareness but above all FAR less aim than any other class. In any given team, the pyro is always the most stupid. They never put out fires and never give a shit about the team. Its a noob class.

Pyros have been buffed since this video...the backburner does more damage, as does the flare gun. The airblasts use less ammo, not to mention the Degreaser makes using Puff'n'Sting much easier.

Constantly criticals on enemies that are on fire. Deals -50% damage on enemies that aren't on fire.

I'm still not sure about this, whether it's wiser to go with the flare gun or shotty...

Flare gun can be effective at range, and in the hands of a master it could hits most shots. However you cannot rely on it when an encounter boils down to a medium range fight, which every one would like to get themselves in when they encounter a pyro...

I'd like if some one experienced replied on this.

With the shotgun, at medium range, you HAVE to hit everyshot if you wish to take someone down with full health. Same thing with the Flare Gun, except it has a longer range, but less chance of hitting them. But, for the shotgun, it can discurage Pyro's with the Flare Gun from getting into medium range combat. For the Flare Gun, you can discurage almost every class from attacking you. Sometimes, even Heavy's; just as long as you get them on fire of course.

P.S. This is against good players.

Interesting, Though most of the time my encounters exist of popping around a corner, flaming, blasting and retreating, for as far as duels go my shotty aim is true and I still manage to get most on fire before shooting (or else i usually try to retreat).

I am however trying to practice with the flare gun more which seems to hit surprisingly easily after a compression blast.

I am a range Pyro, a rare kind. I favor the shotgun over the flamethrower. My tatics consist of Shotgunning them down in open areas, pulling the flamethrower out only if they are close and when going around corners, and useing axetinguisher after I puff them on fire.

Flare gun is nice for pestering snipers and revealing spies that are trying to flee from you. I've also seen it used to actually kill weakened classes, especially those that are weak to begin with such as the Scout.

The shotgun is better in most other scenarios, though, and is overall the best weapon in my opinion. Catching someone on fire from afar when there are so many anti-flame tools out there now (dispenser/medic/health items/jarate/water) is pretty useless, anymore.

And jetslayer, it was a 7v7 and I took out 6. The reason it mattered so much is that it saved the point from a sure defeat. But his comment was insulting because he accused people I highly respect of being stupid, which is ironic because he's actually looking like an idiot himself for doing that.

Lighting up snipers from insane distances is better than trying to shoot someone down when hes out of flame range. When you light up someone from really far away they gotta go search for medpacks, a medic or water. Either way they're wasting precious sniping/building/upgrading/pro­tecting time. The flare gun is an incredible weapon if you know how to use it.

While being decent as Pyro is easier than a class such as Soldier or Spy, being able to take down an entire team is NOT easy. You can call Pyros a "noob" class all you want, but in the end they work just as hard for kills as any other class.

well, it was all situational. Pyros are good in close quarters. And all you need is to have some timing to reflect projectiles which is quite easy if you are in the right place at the right time. And they do not "work" as hard for the kills.
