@maw88ify Part of the problem is that you are updating for no reason. I don't understand why people get their systems set up the way they like them, then upgrade to the next release, the day it's released. That's fucking asinine. That's the idea about versions.. features change. Try keeping a newer Wacom tablet running between kernel updates without some command-line intervention.. but really, why update at all if everything is working? Security? Trust me - no one is trying to hack you.

For example the one I was using in this video pen pressure did NOT work in GIMP, but in 11.04 pressure does work in GIMP, but Blender3D 2.5 crashed all the time, and it has tons of new bugs. In Ubuntu 9.04 sound didn't work on my computer PulseAudio bug... So basically all Ubuntu releases are buggy , and this is why I'm looking for a new Linux distribution.

You "complained to the tablet manufacturer to support your OS"will only make it work on my distribution , but what about all the other distribution . The problem is companies don't want to make packages for all the Linux distro's that all have different bugs, because it is a waist of time/money. Linux programmers need to focus on only a few Linux distributions to make great.

It depends way too much upon exacting hardware specifications and peripheral choices for you to generalize so much. So I'm going to go buy Window 7 , and a Cintiq 21UX Pen Display . The other people have it working correctly DON'T HAVE THE SAME COMPUTER HARDWARE. I hope that clears things up for you .
@maw88ify You should try communicating with some other people if the documentation isn't working for you.. and just because you don't believe in communicating with manufacturers, doesn't mean that it does not work. How are they going to know you are having problems or that you even USE the operating system, if you don't tell them about it? This is the kind of mentality that I don't understand.. You want it to work, knowing the philosophy and nature of the OS, but don't want to participate?
@downwithdinosaurs Do you know what the Genius tablets manufacturers said when I emailed them in 2009 ? Nothing they never e-mail back. Any company I e-mail about Linux NEVER e-mail me back, and NEVER make their product work with Linux .

Only thing I ever needed using ubuntu was having a little patience to make everything work out the way it used to when using windows.
