  • thank u very much, work perfectly

  • How can i reinstall a pre-installed app?

  • @xeirombobida Either move it back to system/app, or delete the ".bak" off the end if you renamed it. Reboot, feel bloated ;-p

  • @TweakMyDevice My comment was a bit old...I learned a lot in these 3 weeks... :P

    1.Move application to (system/app)

    2.Mount /system partition in read-write mode

3.Change the *.apk permissions (Owner: Read, Write | Group: Read | Others: Read)

    4.Unmount

    5.Reboot

#.You can use "Root explorer" or "ES File Explorer" which is FREE... ;)

  • Hi one cuestion how you do to put back the apps you just move? Hope you can explain me

  • Can't access safe list you did. Some glue why this happens? Thanks for your nice video tutorial.

  • @pedrotorresfilho Safe list reloaded ;)

  • You can delete these apps.. No need to clutter your sd card with them.

  • you fucked up... try a re install, or just try the update to ice cream sandwich

  • I moved a bunch of .apk's from the SAFE list and a few that werent. big mistake. now i get "The application Text Messaging (process com.motorola.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly." when i open my texts. I tried moving back the .apk's one at a time and eventually moved them all back to the app folder jic. same message. However I noticed the apps are now in the app folder but still dont show up in my app drawer. Did I do something wrong when i moved them back? Please help! Thanks!

  • When you put it into the SD file what is that doing to them is it deleting them or moving them around what?

  • @MrMrNoodledoodle Just moving them to another location so they aren't loaded up by the Android system. You may also add ".bak" (no quotes) on the end of them to inactivate them without moving anything.

  • awesome dude thank you so much, worked wonders on the motorola droid (2.2.2) SO nice having more memory

  • @Wakethewicked2 You're welcome! :)

  • @TweakMyDevice just wondering there is a free version whats the difference between the pay version and the free one?

  • @TheCRYPTO50 The free version of Explorer doesn't access the system folder.

  • Do i have to root my Charge to remove pre-installed apps? if yes, why?

  • @CFA2618 Some pre-installed apps can be removed via Settings, Apps, Manage Apps. Others have to be removed with Root access because Verizon and Motorola don't want us removing them.

  • I am not able to open your safe remove list. Is it still working?

  • @wyattparke I'll update is asap, thanks.

  • I did as you said and I did add additional extension with .old to the files that I transferred to the sd card folder but for some reason the Citrix and V CAST Media Manager apps continue to display even though they are not in the list in the system folder.

  • @rswho4 Citrix and Vcast can be removed via Settings, Apps, Manage Apps.

  • I might try this later. However, don't ROMs like deblurred have bloat removed already?

  • @Rav123123 They usually do, some more so than others.

  • I Deleted The Apps From The System Folder!

Its No More In The Menu Panel.. Will It Somehow Effect My Phone?! :O

  • @linkinamitpark You deleted everything from System/App? Time for a FXZ or Fastboot Restore...

  • I did everything you said but the apps still show up, help?

  • @maximusslayer667 Obvious Q, but did you reboot?

  • @maximusslayer667 You were able to successfully change the file extensions to .bak?

  • On your list it says DO NOT move yahoocontacts.apk but I did move that and the odex of it to my external sd and have had no negative impact.

What I'd REALLY like to remove is that awful stock gallery app...is that safe to take out and if so how do I get rid of it?

  • which version are you using for ES File Explorer? I installed 1.6.0.7 and I do not have a multi select in my menu. I have to long press then I get a option to Move, Copy etc.....I am running 2.3.4 and kernel is 2.6.35.7 and 5.5.886.XT875 System Version on my Bionic...

  • never mind, I am not using root explorer....DUH!!!! Sorry disregard....

  • best tweek! Worked flawlessly

  • you must be joking!!! as i had expected, it says you cannot do anything of the above because its a "read only"

  • @watermania0 Did you click the grey box at the top of Root Explorer that reads "Mount R/W" ?

  • @watermania0 have to downloaded it again to see i guess

  • I followed your directions and opened the root explorer and started multi selecting apps when i clicked move it says it was not rooted isn't root explorer supposed to root it HELP!!!!!

  • @michellerz0812 No you must root it first, which is easy. Search my channel for the Bionic Root vid. Then come back to this vid.

  • I downloaded the app and followed your video it says my phone is not rooted i installed it and clicked open followed your steps and when i clicked moved it said it was not rooted HELP!!!!!!!
