  • man that sounds awesome!

  • Lubbock?

  • @10txram amarillo

  • @10txram If you are ever in Amarillo and wanna try some side by side acceleration tests hit me up on here, I drive a cummins now with a couple things done to it.

  • is that ur seatbelt indicator? yeah real smart going nearly 100 without a seatbelt.

  • THAT SOUNDS SOO SEXY I THINK I JUST ORGASMED :O

  • @ashleebee19 Glad I could help you out.

  • so nice to not hear a whine..

  • @xcubestation I had A Regal GS L67 and I loved to hear a whine.

  • VTECs KICKIN IN!! YO!!

  • love the car

  • tell me this isnt stupid some body asked me if the g6 gtp had a supercharger on it.

  • @ERIC933G The one at my Dealer ship had a one on it.

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk could you post a video of the the supposed g6 gtp or its the grand prix gtp or compg

  • @ERIC933G It wasnt a Grand Prix LoL, And you know nohthing. they have photos on the wall, it was a display car from the factory. CompG came with powder coated Calipers LoL.

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • Comment removed

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk ok lets say i know nothing about this cars.lol the g6 gtp never came out with a supercharger its just the 3.9L engine the g6 gxp is the 3.6L engine if you didnt know that. I could go take a video of a g6 gtp at my dads job which used to be Worden Marten now its Ford City. you should post a video of those pictures that you saw at your job that work at.lol

I am stating facts lol. write back if necessary.pressed for caution.lol

  • @ERIC933G Lol, I think every one knows that, 3.9 only came in the year of 2006, 2007-2009 came with the 3.6, And that Supercharger got put on the Vehicle, I did not say it came factory LOL. Now go to bed :O

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk i want to see one supercharged does the super look like the vortech.

  • lmao you were redlining the shit out of it! haha. i have the same car. 07 gtp.. how much did you pay for the exhaust and where can you get it done? send me a message. thanks man

  • which is faster this or a infiniti g35 coupe 2003?

  • @6amoney I would say the G35 unless the GTP is modded.

  • @joebro82 not tryin to diss on you or nothin... i was wonderin cause my fried has a gtp, and im getting a g35 and all he talks about is smokin me in a race

  • @6amoney Its all good. I dont even have this car. I have a dodge cummins that kills both those cars. lol. I beat mustang mach 1's and gto's and lt1 z28's. If a car is faster its faster, Thats why people mod to get them quicker than stock. My truck runs like a 17 stock, I'm in the 13's now and weigh like 8k lbs.

  • @joebro82 those turbo diesels are lethal i had an acura integra gsr which isnt the fastest car in the world but i could pull 16's in colorado which is mile high elevation, my friend has a 2009 duramax and he pulled a 15.2 with just a chip

  • @joebro82

if its in the 13's than its not beating gto's which are in the 12's stock....sorry

  • @Chapstick050 Have you driven a GTO? Tried to launch one? And an ls1 GTO runs mid to high 13's actually and thats with a pro driver. 13.6-13.8 is average on paper. Now get on the street where traction is even harder to get and its game over. a Boosted 4x4 launch puts me 5+ cars by 50. Do a little research or get out and try to run a modded diesel truck. Most recent gto was ls2 tuned and exhaust and extra wide tires. Had him the first run and the second I ran out of fuel at 90 and he passed me.

  • @joebro82 Not True, I ran a 13.2 @ 107 Bone Stock down to the tire in my 04 M6 GTO... And with just a Catback and CAI I ran a 13.1 @ 111mph on street tires but I was spinning pretty bad... Since then I have ran a 11.73 @ 117.6 with a Cam, Longtubes, Exhaust and tune on a DR...

  • @Breze84 How is your taction at a stop light? So you got a 13.2 out of an LS1 GTO? You must have a freak ofa goat my friend. Trust, I love a Goat, my dad had a magnacharged 06 in impulse blue. The thing moved but once again it had no traction. Wider tires ended up with gouges from the wheel wells even after a tub.

  • @joebro82 Traction is not bad if you slip it out right, If you dump it YA your gonna spin. The main reasons why some people run shitty times in the GTO's is all do to launch, They are pretty difficult but I got it down pretty damn good. My GTO stock put down 330/342 to the wheels and now im making 425/396. My car did put down more power then most I have seen and the guys at Modern Muscle told me I had a damn strong GTO when it was stock so who knows.

  • reason he was rubbing is because his offset might have been off. Another reason is the GTO's cradle allignment is off a tad from the factory and the axle is further out on the passenger side just a tad but not enough to really tell by looking at it. He should have grinded the fender lip with a flap wheel on a angle grinder, Thats what I did. Also BMR Drag Bags help A LOT with rear end squat and tire hop which the Goats are prone too. I have my 13.1 @ 111 in my vids when I just had a CB & CAI

  • On a Side note I actually just went and looked at a 07 G6 GTP today as a better DD... Guy put a 1in drop all around and a GTR exhaust which I could care about either...

  • @6amoney the gxp will smoke a g35 its only got 260 hp but its got a decent amount of torque and it is mad light

  • Cool, but is dumb that your NOT wearing a seat belt

  • Sounds good... So when ya gonna cam it? :D

  • i love the white gauges they look so much better then the black ones does that only come with the gtp?

  • @victoriadish This was a limited buy thing by the company that actually made the factory gauges for the G6. These were actually in my 06 with the 3.5. Thats why the RPM loks like I am going off the charts. The 3.6 has a higher revving motor but I likes the gauges better and didnt care much about the RPM's. You might be able to find some aftermarket ones on ebay or g6performance.

  • Very nice GTP.

  • nice car but at 100000 miles on that car its gunna run horrible now cause u didnt break it in right 500 miles is not enough break in time hope u sell it soon

  • Do some research on hard brake in. You will retract your comment.

  • Nice car bro, sounds nice, enjoy it . Dont listen to the haters.

  • This car is auto tranny?

  • Yes it is, At the time of this video it was set to stock BS torque management which makes it shift like crap. It has the tranny that ford and gm went in togther to develope to compet with the overseas comp. It is a 6 sped with the tap shift. I am really impressed with it. My Acadia has the same motor and the same tranny.

  • Thanks man. Sweet car and looks like amazing torque to me. Classy.

  • my XR.. Stock it misses its first gear at times. Bounces off rev limiter and then obviously power drops, THEN it will shift. Every now and then.

  • I just leave mine in d when running it. Contact vector tune and get it tuned. You will haul some ass then. With the ecm and tcm tune you will be a 14 flat 1/4. Add a couple mre things and you will be in the 13's.

  • I've actually got a few things in progress here.

First a set of long tube = length headers.

Revised upper intake manifold which I'll be testing here soon.

Battery relocation for custom short ram cool air intake (we'll see how that goes)

And a HP tuners on the way, so... I hope that I'll be able to dip into the 13's with that stuff.

I don't plan on doing anything cat back, that'll be left stock for the most part.

  • that car sounds awesome

  • For real man put your seatbelt on!!!Nice car though.

  • Oh and no offense please don't pull a stunt like that without you're seatbelt. The lights flashing =)

  • Fuck! That thing sounds like a fucking race car!

  • hey this car looks sick..I was thinking buying with that "cash for clunkers" program w.e its called.lol....and I seen the price like 12.000$ worth the money right ????...

  • If it is a GTP then I say go for it. I had the reg V6 and I spent a ton to make it quicker and to do the system and rims and traded it in for the 07 gtp coupe.

  • Ohh I am not into racing trust me lol...but thanks for the tip I just want a nice car to get me places and that looks nice shiny lol...

  • Well they are a great daily driver. Had 2 of them. Both a year old when I moved on. One with 34k on it in a year. Drove just like new and never had a single issue with it.

  • 34 K is nothing..lol...I mean this car looks nice I don't care how fast it goes..I am not a street racer....I was thinking buy this or a Honda Civic..but I live in Detroit soo i dk about a foreign car in this economy lol

  • I feel ya for buying american. I have a GMC Acadia now. I freakin love this SUV. Best all around vehicle I have owned. It has the same motor as the GTP or the GXP but they got an extra 20 hp or so to push the heavy ride around. I get 24mpg or so loaded down with the fam and luggage. With the 3.5 g6 I was getting 33 or sometimes better on the road. Take one out and feel it on the highway. The GT is one smooth ride.

  • @Semir313 g6s are decent cars they offer a smooth ride, good acceleration, roomy interior, and they're very attractive.

  • Thanks but I bought a Chevy Cobalt 07 I love that car..it was nice and cheaper then the 09 G6....this is car is nice but I like the chevy better....smooth ride and great on gas...and I had a chevy cavalier before and I loved my old chevy got me to 190.000 Miles and no big problems So I bought a chevy again

  • only 500 miles and you're driving it like that? wow you're dumb

  • ok, research vehicle break-in before you come on here making coments and calling people dumb asshole. Your manufacture wants a slow break in, People that did actual research on this saw higher dyno numbers and better ring seal by an agressive break-in. Look it up then come retract your statement.

  • thats retarded, saying an agressive break it brings higher number. the numbers would be the same.

  • I really dont feel like arguing with you. just go to motutuneusa and look for break in secrets. 300 engines tested so you read the results. Tighter piston ring seal yeilds higher compression. I guess I am retarded then for following the advice of people who actualy did research and th pros that dynotuned my harley the day I bought it and broke it in on the dyne. RESEARCH BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!!

  • motorcycles are different to break in than cars. everytime i get a new mx bike it takes about 30-45 min to break in. wayy different

  • its an internal combustion engine, 4 stroke cycle. Liquid cooled and this method is used by plenty of racers. The bike is just a smaller displacement. Have you ever seen a top fuel dagster breaking their motors in before they run them? Now I realize they rebuild them all the time. Did you even read the stuff I asked you to? BTW I am a machinist and work with diesel engines daily and we have 4400 hp motors that we dont break in easy.

  • nice..now i'm waiting for him to respond lol. also what helps is using a special break-in oil such as royal purple. I used it in my straight 6 engine in my suv and have almost 140k miles on it. after using the break in oil, i went with Mobil1 Full synthetic. Compression is still high and i always beat the crap out of it. The "aggressive Break-in" idea worked for me, and thats my proof.

  • No seving or anything. Its just what people have ben told their while lives. You can hurt it doing this too if the heat gets too high. But don right you gain performance. It does get annoying sometimes. I have been through this a few times on here. Gets old when people are insistant on what their dad told them vs what actual research proves. I could care less how they break their car in, I know what I have done on all 4 of my new vehickes I have purchased in the last 4 years.

  • Someone got served!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • well?

  • hey joe quick question.....how much is the gtr exhaust and where can i order it......btw i only got the 3.5 v6 so will it fit?

  • go to the g6 performance web site. Sam has all the info you need there. I had the origional prototype. It fits all g6's. I had it on an 06 3.5. Sounded awesome. You will need to get the dual exhaust valance from GM. Its like 70 bucks. You might find one for cheaper somewhere else.

  • Great Job Bestest Friend hope you get this car someday?

Then we could go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

    Michael Salazar

  • i like how he stepped on it with the low fuel light flashing

  • ??? The flashing light is the seat belt light.

  • haha even better

  • Yeah the lack of seatbelt is a PTSD thing. lol'

  • ptsd?

  • will this thing run with a g8 gt?

  • I doubt it. I was sitting at about a 14 flat quarte. The G8 GT will run in the 13's with ease.

  • lol like an ser

  • It sounds alot like an ser only faster. lol

  • nice job sounds like altima with exhaust wow nice

  • Nice car to bad they didnt give those a little more power though.

  • im a fan of the motors sound but the cars are not that cool to me.

  • my mom has the g6 gtp she loves it she hits like 110 ever time she gets on the freeway

  • your mom is bad ass

  • agreed hahahah

  • its alright but i'd rather have a manual

  • hey men! i have a question!! i love this car but the megan sport is better than g6?? wich is the fastest?? sorry for my english im mexican

  • The G6 gtp or gxp will be faster 0-60 and in the 1/4 but the renault if faster top end at around 147mph. The G6 is goverened to 115 stock. I had mine tuned and had it over 140 before I shut it down.

  • Get your seat belt on! :]

    bad-ass dude.... bad-ass.

  • I could beat that piece of shit by almost half a second in my Accord V6

  • Wow you are a dumbass. Your cool guy accord isn't magic and special built to be super fast. That is all in your gay canadian mind. FUCK YOU BITCH!!!!!!

  • you wish

  • lol... the accord is a grandpas car, even if it was faster, I would choose the pontiac

  • Comment removed

  • Really wish my 02 GTP had that 6 speed :(

    Nice car

  • These cars aren't very good read reviews

  • So the 3.6 is faster than the 3.9? I drove an 06 3.9 6 speed yesterday and it was pretty fast

  • Auto for auto its about a sec in the 1/4 and the 6 speed man vs the 3.6 is about a half sec.

  • i suggest not ignoring the break in period. if you do it significantly decreases the life of your car.

  • yeah.your shit sounds wayy better then the 3.9 too...thanks bro

  • I agree with you. I had an 06 with the 3.5 with the same exhaust and it sounded good but nowhere as kick ass as the 3.6.

  • what do you think is a better engine the 3.9 auto or the 3.6 auto? i started looking at g6s and im not really sure what to go with the 06 gtp or 07 gto

  • 3.6 hands down. More hp. 6 speed auto in the 3.6 the 3.9 has a 4 speed. The 3.6 is DOHC also. And you are running over a half sec quicker in the 1/4 stock. I have a friend with the 3.9 auto and he got small in the rearview real quick. Plus you can get the 07 GTP without the side mouldings. And they all come with the ultrabright wheels. Oh and you get a couple more MPG with the 07.

  • That is done with the radio. Its in the options like resetting ur oil life and stuff like that.

  • Hey Joe, Car sounds sweet as hell, Very agressive. I own an 08 GXP and am buying the GT-R Exhaust package. =). but do you by any chance know how to switch the MPH to KPH on the speedometer?

  • will the car shift for you if you redlinine for a couple of seconds?

  • honestly I don't know about couple sec. I never held it that long but it will bounce off the rev limiter.

  • no it just stays at the redline no bouncing or shifting for you. It will however downgear for you if your going to slow for the gear your in.

  • Does that have the slapshift 6 spd in it bc the 08 GXP does and i jus got one and got 500 miles on the i let her rip if u put it in manual its alot faster i think, and were did u get the cold air intake?

  • Yes it is the exact same car without the body kit. And the manumatic sucked. Too slow to react. People have gotten better times in auto. The cai is avalible on g6performance. Go take a look around. The tune was the biggest help on these cars.

  • that's crazyshit if new engines actually are better off with hard throttle, I've read up the complete opposite of that on other sites

  • Well it makes sence if you think about it. Sharp edges will cause scratches in the cylender walls. I wouldn't bullshit. Every car I have owned has been broken in like this. My bikes too. To each is own,I choose this method after reading up on and going to schools on the principals of internal combustion engines. It is all about the rings and how they seat. I change the pistons and everything attached in locomotives and we see alot of this stuff. And break in is turning the loco back on.

  • Its old knowledge to give a new engine light throttle and be gentle, the new EDUCATED knowledge says to do otherwise, and it has been proven time and time again to be in favor of hard acceleration, it gives the rings a more aggressive seat. What also helps is downshifting early and letting the vaccum of the engine push the rings against the walls.

  • I love the red gauges

  • Is there much torque steer in the GTP? I tried out a Saturn Aura XR and it had horrible torque steer, so I was just curious if it was present in the cousins too.

  • It wasn't too bad but yeah it is there. The tires just spun most of the time when you would normaly have the TS issue.

  • new cars have their engines broken in at the factory

    no harm :)

  • and this is why i won't buy a used gtp. morons redlining an engine that isn't fully broken in(3000 miles at least)

  • do a little research about hard brake in and get back to me moron. you loose 2-10% with crappy piston seal that comes from easy brake in. Thanks for your input but know what you are talking about before you talk crap big guy.

  • you're a stupid fuck if you're trying to convince me that redlining a car with 500 miles on it isn't bad for it. i've actually done my research and found that you shouldn't even go over 3k rpm until your first oil change/3000 miles to ensure that your engine lasts longest. i'm not a impatient jackass that would take the chance of harming my engine when it has under 3k miles just to put it on youtube.

  • Go fuck yourself bitch. I love lil internet tough guys. I don't give a fuck what you do with whatever POS you drive. I am a machinist and work on motors quite often. Modern motors are actually mostly broken in from the factory but the rings are the biggest issue in break in. rings are jagged which will leave gouges in the cylender walls of the block. This causes a drop in compression. Which will lower performance. I never said to redline it right off the showroom. Message me if you want proof.

  • mototuneusa. Go there and learn something about breakin by people that did actual research rather than listening to what their daddy said or what the dealer thinks they should do. PS if it were that bad for a motor why is my pretty much stock harley puttin down 127hp to the ground. All the internals are stock? Just a pipe pulley filter and race tuner. And the motor runs great and has perfect compression based on the readouts. But read a little something and you might learn. BITCH!!!

  • just wait until you hit 100,000. ANYTIME you redline a car, it's still bad for it. i mean obviously just going easy on the car all its life will probably make it last longer than someone who just floors it all the time. but regardless, it'll probably come to haunt you sooner or later, no time soon anyways, i still wouldn't feel comfortable until first oil change to fuck with it if i plan on keeping the car and driving it into the ground with miles.

  • you should not do that until the car is fully broken in

  • nice car man.

  • This made me think of a question i had a while back. Does this car "feel fast"? My moms car, you can see the scenery passing fast but it doesnt feel like its going fast. does this car feel fast?

  • Yeah it has plenty of torque to throw you back in the seat.

  • At least put a seatbelt on. :)

  • Six speed manual + the 3.6 would be an amazing car. The six speed auto is pretty good though.

  • the g8 is just a gto with 4 doors

  • its actually a vauxhall vxr, lmao

  • Its all about the g8 gt cant wait to get mine

  • Thats sounds Great! If I didn't have the eclipse I would consider a G6 GTP. KUDOS Man

  • Thanks man. I have played around with a modded Eclipse GT. It was pretty quick as well.

  • i don't think thats a 3.6...i think thats a 3.9L because the tach in the 3.6 goes up to 8,000rpm...if you count the numbers, the tach only goes up to 7,000 in this car!

  • Notice it is a white faced? It is from my old 3.5 g6 sedan I had before. Notice how the tach goes past the numbers? This is the 07 g6 gtp with the 252ho 3.6l vvt dohc v6 with the 6 speed auto.

  • It's a 3.6 for sure, the 3.9 has a different sound and only 4 gears.

  • God the transmision sucks in this thing...... notice how slow it is to downshift...... hesitates too much.

  • That is my next mod. I am getting the TCM tuned.

  • Put your seatbelt on!

  • That sounds alot better than any v6 f body I have ever heard. Bet it is quicker too.

  • Throw a little better exhaust on there, and it would probably sound better than my old 3.8 Firebird!

  • I haven't heard a 3800 that sounded really good except for a GP GTP and thats only the whine that sounds good. I don't have a pushrod motor either. I'm DOHC.

  • My 3.8 didn't sound bad with an intake, and a full Flowmaster cat-back setup. Rather....(dare I say it?) "Ferrari-like" in the upper RPM's. I'd done quite a bit to it though, so.... yeah.

  • hmmm.

  • Most 3.8's with "exhausts" sound shitty, because they don't have that resonator "box" that the Flowmaster cat-back has, that sat under the passenger seat in an F-Body. That thing cancelled out a lot of the "squall" and weird resonance associated with that motor.

  • Honda accord se v6 still owns.

  • Yeah if you are into that kind of stuff. Its ugly slower and on top of that ita a honda.

  • You like a Honda Accord and you're saying the G6 is small, umm the G6 is quite a bit bigger than the Accord

  • Wrong. The 08 Accord is both wider and longer than the G6... wheelbase on the sixer is a bit longer so you might have a tad more legroom, but the Accord is the slightly bigger car. The 07 Accord is wider as well.

  • Ur wrong the accord is definitly alot bigger . I work for GM and kno for sure that ain't true buddy.

  • Guess you're right, I didn't think it was that big, but the curb weight is pretty similar.

  • Its a honda, which means. Better warranty, more reliable and will run a shit load longer.

I cant argue on the looks part thats just personaly opinion however my moms drives the G6 and i think its really small and poorly designed but im 6'5 so..

  • I have a 100k warranty with mine. All 07's offer that. Ive tried out pretty much every car in its class and this takes it. The Aura is nice too but not my style. Plus before any of my cars reach 40k I will have already traded it in for a new one. I only keep them for 1- 2 years.

  • It really doesn't. It's definitely not quicker, and the G6 GTP gets better gas mileage than the EX-L V6.

And by my opinion only, the G6 GTP coupe is much better looking.

  • The 3.6 has a stock 1/4 of 14.5. I'm pretty sure that is quicker than any stock 3.8 f body.

  • Wow seems a lot quicker then my Aura

  • Its alot quicker now;) Plus I weigh 200 less then the Aura. Just so you know R&T gave the Aura XR a 14.5 in the 1/4. It was eben or faster than the hemi charger.

  • Thats one good sounding engine, I love that sound. If only I could put that 3.6L in my GA GT. . . . . .

  • F*cking sweet!! It sounds like a V8 race car. If only I could get my grand am to sound like that... lol

  • Yeah the DOHC thing makes em sound way dif. I think it sounds like an indi car. Thats the best way to discribe it. The pushrod v6 is still a tough sounding motor though. I had the 3.5 before this.

  • Ya those 3.6L DOHC motors are sweet sounding - and powerful! I read that the 3.6L motor in the '08 cadillac STS makes 306 horsepower (direct injection/DOHC) which is just awesome. But I still love my old pushrod 3400 SFI haha it's low tech and low power but it's never let me down =)

  • its really annoying how few parts they have for the 3.6 you basically have doctor speed and vector and than of course a custom exhaust there needs to be more ECM options and some one like Injen should make a cold air intake too fit the 2007

  • Actually there is a guy that does a full manderal bent exhaust for these. Infact the one that is on my car was the first one sold. It ih a magna flow muf. It has dual 4 inch polished tips. Looks and sounds friggin sweet. Let me know if you want the contact info.

  • yea i did notice that.. i was wondering why cuz i kno that in 2007 theres only an automatic so it seemed weird that it was shifting at that high of an rpm... do u have the vector motorsports tune?

  • I am one of the guys talking with Chris wanting the tune. I need the ECM and TCM tuned so I will have to wait for him to do the fine tuning on the 07. He has done one for the 08 GXP. He claims it feels like a different car. Almost like CVT that ascually has balls. He saw a 17 hp peak gain but saw huge improvments across the entire rpm range.

  • Got the tune on and holly hell it is like night and day.

  • hey man i have an 07 gtp too where did you get the white faced guages

  • These were a special order thing I did back in 06. A guy had them made but do notice that I am off the charts on the rmp. I had them in my 06 3.5. They just look better than the black ones.
