  • NIce Plane, they are quiter then traditional turbo props because the synchronise the the phase of the blades are automatically adjusted to reduce beat frequencys.

  • Cool video. I have read that the Piaggio is extremely loud for a turboprop, since they are pushers. I haven't seen any flying around here in Seattle, just a couple of them parked at KBFI. However, the sound in your video seemed like a normal twin turboprop, nothing unusual.

  • I was told the same thing about the sound level and yes, I was disappointed that it was so quiet on take off! :-)

  • I work short final to a major corporate/airline airport. You can hear the Paiggio coming long before it gets overhead. Louder than any 7x7 or Airbus. Only the B-24 makes as much noise.
