@smarterthanyou63 Yeah pretty much. I drained all the transmission fluid first to reduce friction as well. It's basic fluid dynamics.

I just picked an 84 528E up with 300k and went through the fuel and ignition systems and updated everything and it is my winter ripper. This Spring I will overhaul the motor and swap heads and diffs to give it some new life. I also have an 83 320is with the 1990 M3 swap. That is a fun little car! Nice Ride!

I used to have a euro 525e with 340k miles on it. Got rid of it after the trans decided to die. Now I have an 88 528e supereta and I can't even get it to burn out, even with the brake depressed at launch.
