The only way nuclear power is expensive is that the power plants have a high construction cost. So high that few can build one. However since they also produce a lot more power than wind and solar the price per MWh is lower. I don't know why nuclear would be so expensive in the US, is it those cooling towers that costs so much? If so why not just build them along the coast?

@Hedning1390 Plz do more research before saying stupid things :P.. Geothermal energy is way mutch better than wind energy. Solar energy should be made in space (20 times more energy). Voila! No problemo anymoro

@MrBorsetti I didn't mention geothermal because it is not mentioned in the video, and not all countries have access to much cheap geothermal energy anyways. Solar energy is already expensive. Sending it into space would make it even more so. I only questioned why nuclear power were so expensive in the US. I don't think that it is as expensive as this video suggests, and my suggestion that it was the cooling towers was only a sarcastic remark.

@Hedning1390 I agree. But solar panels are cheap (if you look to the availeble recources, not the money). China owns like 95% of the resources for making solar panels (America 1%). The only reason to distribute it for an artifically high price is because of making profit.. Also there is a whole market of patent rights. This is mainly the cause of a high price indeed!

We shouldn't be Drilling anymore. Magnetic multi-stage Motors can provide power that goes to a generator to create electricity. That electricity goes to a Electrical Energy Storage Unit (local transformer) which can increase and provide electricity for the entire population.

Solar takes too much rare material, wind disturbs weather patterns and birds, and both take too much land area. Nuclear is the only solution. There IS a way to dispose of the waste; it just needs to be developed further, which is a vastly easier proposition than any foreseeable solution to the problems with other energy sources.

1. The biggest problem for fuel economy is the fact that people buy retardedly heavy vehicles. This also requires small cars to be taller and heavier for crash compatibility. Alternative fuels aren't the answer. The answer is to get people into sedans and wagons instead of SUVs and crossovers. MPG will skyrocket even with no additional whizbang (read: expensive) technology, and it will facilitate the introduction of alternative propulsion methods by drastically reducing power requirements.
