Some parts of Europe are way ahead of America and work (though for from perfectly) much better. (EG: Consider drug laws)
But I would like a real strong european freedom of speech act. One that places freedom of speech far and above reliigion.
And if you argue against Islam you should also hold the same standards against Christianity, Judism and other religions.
Oh and Christmas is if anything a Pagan, christmass tree, gift giving and all, no need for the 3 big modern religions there also :)

Complete rubbish. "Facing Jail." Dutch politicians were insulted too that Wilders was banned from GB.
I've watched more videos about him and I am unpleasently surprised when I saw how many people actually agree with him.
Let me tell you this: Wilders will never become (prime) minister. All he does is insulting people (not only muslims, but politicians in debate as well). He dislikes every plan of the gouvernment, but when someone challenges him to come up with a better plan, he remains silent.

Peope that respond here obviously don't know Geert Wilders or the situation very well. very sad. How can you proclaim to save the fundamental freedoms of our society when you try to ban a whole religion? The focus should be on how to live together, instead of saying that it's impossible. We have many moslims in Holland, should we just kick them out of 'our' country? What he is implying is insane. THings are nog going that bad in Holland, most are living in peace together.

There are too many fundamentalist Muslims who want to establish an Islamic state in Europe and in America, whether it be in the short run or the long run, and will establish draconian laws totally contrary to the liberty principle. One of my best mates comes from Rotterdam and says that Geert Wilders party will get 22 seats in the next election making them the government .... Here's hoping they do,then at least there will be one free nation in Europe.

Wilders is right about the totalitarian nature of Islam. But he is wrong that the other religions are much different. Christianity and Judaism are thanks to 300 years Enlightenment criticism and 500 years of Humanism merely "domesticated" or "house-trained" for the use in secular society but still wolves inside.
When it comes to free speech we find the CoE, the Vatican and most Rabbis on the side of Islam against "defamation of religion", preferring even Dhimmi-status to Freedom.

The first Amendment protects us from government censorship. Unfortunately our media censors itself for many reasons. Corporate ownership and political correctness filter the news. The Danish political cartoons were almost impossible to view in US media. When US citizens post videos that criticize Jizzlam on YouTube they are frequently removed because of flagging campaigns orchestrated by Muslims.
