I think they aimed pretty well when they stormed princess Leias corvette in episode 4. Only three dead on screen i think, and they had mowed down something like 20-30 rebel soldiers.

He he he he, stupid fools arguing over things that don't exist...You're a laughing stock and all the forums are talking about you. I got this link posted from one of the forums.
You said proton based weapons? TLs are highly consentrated gas propelled projectiles, it is powerful weapon which it can turn planet surfcae into ashes. BUT IT HAS LIMITED FIRE RATE, GUNS EXPOSED, AND MORE OVER LITMITED RANGE.
Proton based weapons are no longer useful in ST universe. Because of highly advanced deflector shields, it can only penetrated by only high power of concentrated beams(disruptors, phased weapons, phasers).
Proton Torpedoes, McFly. Limited rate of Fire? They make that up for numbers! Thousands of guns on a SD. Besides, it only takes about a few seconds to fire again. On the Heavy guns, at least.
Proton weapons are different in each universe. In Trek, they wear low-yield. In Wars, they tear apart atoms on a Quantum levels. I THINK they can get through shields...
me too... :( luckily i have a few... although one of the excelsiors had a "dog attack"... but in the end it looked just like it was blown up by the borg at wolf 359
Gravity? You would have to keep it in a vaccuum, and there is no such thing as a perfect vaccuum.
Force Fields? How do you power said force fields? That means more power, produced by a secondary device. How are you powering said device? And how do you get force field technology?
Magnetic Fields? Anti matter is non magnetic. How would you keep it there with such-like?
Not only that, but how efficient is your craft? If you use, say, 50% of the power generated by your anti-matter, your ship will melt. If you use more energy, you would have to have better technology. There is a reason most craft have exhaust ports, to get rid of excess heat energy. But with too much energy, your craft will literally boil away.
Just like conventional reactors, i'd assume that decreasing the amount of fuel (Antiplasma? That's magnetic.) would decrease the amount of energy produced.
Yes there is such a thing as a perfect vacuum. Energy is smaller than matter, so can be used to create a space free of matter. Hawkin says a spontaneously appearing particle is accompanied by its antiparticle, so the nett effect will be zero unless you destroy only one.
ST ships equiped with Warp reactor the main power source of the ship. Inside it uses matter-anitmatter collisions to create power for ship's warp engine and ship's main power. Yes, Antimatter is highly unstable, so thats why Reactor uses Dilithium crystals to make Antimatter streams stable.
In what sense you say ST ships are slow and what makes it SW ships much stronger?
Oh I forgot to say, hand phaser can vaporize 3th floor or 5th floor height building with maximum setting.(24th century average) So imagine that how ship's phasers can do.
for example, Galaxy class ships can make 90 degree turn in only 4.5 seconds despite the fact that Galaxy class star ship is half size of ISD and biggest starship in STAR FLEET.
You are very stupid, you know? EVERY STAR WARS VS STAR TREK SITE HAS DEBUNKED THIS. Besides, the Lasers SW has are different than what ST has. Plus, Star Wars is much more advanced than ST. The Hand Gun of a Star Wars person is in the same range of damage as a P-Torp, the Megaton range.

lol you 2 are funny. especialy the megaton range handgun. Guns like that would blow large holes in ship hulls. id like to see the scene on Tantive IV with those. It would look like this:
Stormtroopers get in-first shot-BOOM-Tantive IV breakes in half and evryone on board either dies instantly or gets sucked out into space.

i dont think you understand. A gun with megaton firepower wouldnt just scortch walls and bodys. i would cause large explosions. It would be like detonating small nukes. If you ask me all those tech manuals just pick a random scale and make it sound smart so "smart" people like you have something to argue about.
PS it dosnt matter how hard the armor is. an internal explosion is stronger so it would stil breake it in half or at least destroy the entire interior.
Yes, I know. I was probably just gloating over victory when I said the Stormtrooper's gun thing. How ever, the gun is strong enough to break walls and kill people with near misses.

i've had my share of broken TIE's too. and actually i only have 3 "live" star trek micro machines. Excelcior, Romulan BOP and the klingon thing...uhhhh...like at the beggining of TMP...and the undiscovered country...
This was pretty good but could've been better with sound now ive heard about borg cubes and im sure they can take out one Star Destroyer (possibly two or three) but most Star Destroyers carry TIE Bombers so the Bombers could put a hole in the cube and the Star Destroyer can blast in the hole. Anyway I didnt comment to bring up points and possibilities but yeah this was pretty good make one where the Eclipse destroys a cube
actually quite well animated, is it stop motion? although an SD is much bigger than you suggest and far more powerful than either a borg cube or the Ent D.
no, its not stop motion, i simply filmed my static micromachines in a green screen, and made them move on adobe after effects. hmmm yes, yur right, the star destroyers are about the same size as a borg cube... my bad:P
BUUUUUUT although im a bigger star wars fan than star trek, i have to disagree, the borg could easily destroy and assimilate a star destroyer:(
no sound because i didnt have them...anybody knows where i can get star trek sounds?
The Borg? Please. A Star Destroyer's weapons are well over 300 gigawatts in power. A single heavy turbolaser blast would drop the cube's shields, and the next heavily damage it. Have you ever done the research?
I check StarDestroyer(dot)net every once in awhile and usually cant find stuff about the Borg and their weaknesses mostly all I could find is that they have an extremely hard time trying to adapt to projectiles and if you destroy their planets they dont have an energy source.
Check the forums too. Careful, though. If you're stupid, they encourage flaming. The Borg also have an inability to adapt to any weapon without a "frequency", so even a holdout blaster could damage drones, and a blaster cannon could easily damage their ships.
Although it tries to be "scientific" the stardestroyer site is full of faulty assumptions and incorrect calculations. I wouldn't feel safe in a building designed by "engineers" like that.
While true, it depends on the location of the asteroid belt in relation to the parent star. Rocky asteroids are common closer in but icy asteroids are more common further out. I see no way of proving they are rocky so the 300 gigawatt figure is not definititive

The lower limit of the Light TLs is around 22,500 TW (in a Trek episode, their ships are taken down by 300 gigawatts of particle energy.)
So you are saying Star Wars shields are unable to withstand impacts with nickel-iron asteroids? If 22500 TW was fired near asteroid debris, don't you think there would be residual vaporization of that debris? There is no such evidence
"So you are saying Star Wars shields are unable to withstand impacts with nickel-iron asteroids?"

Ship's phasers can put a hole in the planet with a just few minor adjustments.
One photon torpedoe can wipe out entire region of North America.
Quantam torpedoe uses Zero-Energy. The Zero-Energy produces anormous amount of energy when it impacts with subjects.
Star Trek ships are smaller than SW ships.
However, more manuverable, well-armed, and faster.

TLs can vaporize ground a coulple of KM deep.
Proof?
Proton Torpedoes scatter protons on a quantum scale.
