As a CWU member i would like to thank the RMT workers that have shown solidarity to every picket we have mounted outside our office over Five years and came down to support us. Is it true that the RMT will be striking in Brighton on boxing day? If so i wish to return the compliment.
I'm a postie up in Inverness, just want to say we're right behind you 100%
RM have been very 'economical' with what they have told the public, they are now about profit before people. We suffer, the public suffer and the competition steals yet more business from this national institution
To the public that moan about a drop in servive, that is simply the undening changes management put us through, rounds get bigger but delivery times are meant to get shorter?!?
The british public are NOT suffering, they are being inconvenienced. We do not do this gladly, postal workers are suffering REAL hardship, every time we take action we lose wages, our livelyhoods. I bet you whinge about the rip off prices and poor service from our PRIVATISED utilities, if you dont support postal workers the chickens will come home to roost! support us or lose a valued service, which is a lifeline to many communites, forever. We are fighting to protect YOUR SERVICE!
Normally if you don't get the service you paid for you get your money back! Also your deluded if you think that the British public are not suffering, if fact as someone who is out of pocket over this how dare you say that.
Keep on attacking Postal Workers my friend and you will soon see how "out of pocket" you really are when the privateers step in. We are "out of pocket" to the tune of a days wages every day we take action, action we are taking in defence of YOUR SEVICE. By how much are you out of pocket? We are sorry to INCONVENIENCE the public, but it is a neccesary and last resort step, postal workers are human too you know and yes we are suffering!
Privatisation is good if your mail gets delivered on time and at the right address, i would be more than happy to pay more for a better service and have the opportunity to choose between competition.

"The people that suffer at the end of the day are the customer, that's the British public".
And who does he think suffers, "at the end of the day", when postal workers go on strike?

The strike is temporary. Privatisation will be permanent. Capice?
