It is hard to explain why this was perfect the way it was. I won't bad mouth the new one it is ok. It is a good movie. But this original first one was a matter of all the right people at all the right time with the right script in the right era with the right music, planets aligning kind of thing! @smartchai Holly Weird always ruins classic film like the Karate Kid with retarded remakes because nobody has made an original film in at least 15 years. Just try to ignore that corporate rehash crap (same with their Miami Vice and Transformers rip offs to name a couple of others) and stick with the real good stuff here. As a kid, the Karate Kid was cool to watch to root for Macchio and now as an adult it is still cool to watch to root against Macchio (Cobra Kai rules the universe).

Hey Faintimage, FYI Dave did not play all the instruments. I played drums and there was a guitar player and bass player too. Dave did all the vocals, synths, wrote the song and actually produced it too, although the music sup actually got producer credit. Dave also wrote Will You Remember Me.
