This was 2004, way before anyone was thinking of actually modding one of these cars outside of a cold air intake and exhaust.

He was cheating by using a boosted motor? LOL the boost pressure barely changed, approximately 2L vs. 4L+ (assuming v8, and even if v6, gonna be a 3.8L). Without the boost you wouldn't enjoy the race, it'd be decimation. And in a streetrace, you race what you got, if it wasn't an agreed upon boost limit, it can't be cheating.
