@ZombieBurning You just do your ultimate attack (triangle) and always block, roll and cartwheel around (block, and use the left analog stick) use your shuriken (circle) and normal attack (square) alot. ALWAYS keep a tight guard, and NEVER go in button mashing. Attack, move back, attack, move back, block. And so on, so forth...

God I'm just about to beat Sigma on very hard, sooo gay at the top of the tower in the final chapter and you have to beat those 2 fiends that take rachel and THEN go beat the devil guy. Master mode is gonna be fun lol.

Is it possible to beat Doku the first time you meet him?

It is possible to deplete his life bar, but even if you do it will still show the cinematic of him beating Ryu because that's the way the story is supposed to go. However, if you do beat him you will unlock Mission Mode or whatever, but you'll unlock that by beating the whole game either way.

i've tried 15 times and read strategies and I STILL can't beat dynamo for the life of me. On normal mode. And I thought I was good at videogames :-/

I guess that I needed about 30 tries to beat him. It took that long to get him to do what was shown on so many strategies. But it took me at least 100 tries to beat Doku at the end of chapter 2, he was very uncooperative.

holy crap. yeah - i'm actually just stuck on the chapter two LEVEL itself - at the part where the samurai-ish looking guys jump off the roof and ambush you. GAH

i don't even want to imagine what the boss will be like.

you know - ninja gaiden is kinda ridiculously difficult. like, you'd think they'd at least provide an easier difficulty. as is, i don't think i'm ever gunna beat it. or even get past ch.2 :-/

Ah, you had your first time run in with the Black Spider Clan Ninjas then. Yeah, they suck or at least their liberal use of Incendiary Shuriken sucks, those leave you almost no window for attack sometimes.

As for beating, if you are as determined as me, you'll at least get farther into the game, although I have to say my Sixaxxis already had a few uses as a non-returning boomerang. With time I start to see a few strategies that work on the enemies and when this happens it becomes a bit easier.

wtf its impossible to beat doku the first time you fight him! he is using the dark dragon blade plus if you beat him then who will you fight in chapter 14? or how will you get kitetsu? you can only beat doku in chapter 2 your second time threw hell of a good vid tho

You don't have to beat Doku in Chapter 2. The point of these videos was to show the Bosses and what they can do, not to show myself beating all of them. If you watch all the videos you'll see that I let all of the bosses grab me and stuff to demonstrate their attacks.

There's 19 chapters, but Chapter 19 is really just the final boss, so in a way it's just 18. You're almost finished; good luck :)

When you get to Chapter 18, look at my Essense Exploit vid if you're interested to show you how to max out everything in your inventory quickly.

Excellent point. I liked NGS a lot, but for stealth games I'd recommend Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. I'm playing thru MGS4 as stealth right now. It would've been cool to have Ryu have some stealth kills and stealth movements, and you're right: it would've been more ninja-like.

What difficulty? the magicians can be a pain but use them to your advantage, they drop life when killed... so keep doing: dodge roll, jump, dodge roll jump continously the whole fight, when you see them charging up their attack go towards them and use flying swallow, if not dodge left or right. as for the samurai, when his horse rears use flying swallow on him then move out the way, shoot him with your arrows whenever you can. try not to use potions unless they're REALLY needed, use orbs dropped

I just bought this game for Ps3, and Im having a hell of a time trying to fight the first boss, I cant even hurt him without killing killed. Any tips?

Um... The game is just really hard. Sorry I can't really come up with any good advice :) I died a lot when I first went through it too. After a while you kind of get the groove of things, but it's hard to explain.

Oh, I deliberately let the enemies do some stuff, like later on the with Bone Dragon and Flame Dragon especially, I wanted to film them biting Ryu in their mouths, and then I'd die on purpose so it didn't affect my Karma points. Then I'd go back and play my best to preserve my score. The whole idea is that I was showing off the bosses, not my gameplay skills, but thanks for the input :)
