I look at this video, and then I think about the absolute bums the heavyweight devision has these days and it pisses me off, especially when you get people trying to argue that Tyson wasn't a good boxer. What would the heavyweight devision give for a 18 year old Tyson these days? Another arguement that is brought up is whether or not Tyson would have beaten Ali. The qualities required to be the best fighter ever:
Iron chin, Iron will, lightning speed, tremendous power, perfect technique, great reflexes, supreme agility and intelligence.
Iron Mike Tyson had all these qualities, I can't say this about any other heavyweight champion but hes not the greatest, he didn't do enough, he would have needed to have beaten evander and lennox and remained on the path he was on till the spinks fight, boils my blood to see such a amazing fighter ruined by greed.

Tyson did fight bums, but only at the start of his career, by design of a great managerial team! But when he knocked out Spinks, he had at that point cleaned out the heavy weight devision from top to bottom. Thats all any champion can do. I belive also that Tyson would've beaten a prime Ali. When you consider the trouble Fraizier gave him for 44 rounds. Tyson has more power in "Both" hands, faster hands "every bit as fast as Ali" and in his prime, you couldnt hit him with a hand full of stones!

Up until Tyson beat Spinks, he had beaten all contenders. We're talking about Both fighters in their prime. Ali, as great as he was didnt finish his career on a very high note either... You have to admit that Tyson was a bigger, stronger, faster, technicaly superior Joe Fraizier. If you look at those fights between Ali & Fraizier, Ali didnt win easily! We're both obiousaly fans but you have to look at this in an objective view, Come on ;)

So I would definitely put prime Tyson ahead vs. prime Ali. However, a smarter, older Ali could have tied up more, and used distance and movement..however I don't see Ali winning in anyway.
Foreman, on the other hand, would give Tyson trouble given his size and reach advantage, and his ability to fight smaller fighters that move to him.
Same for Sonny Liston. These are the only 2 fighters to give Tyson trouble
