Every time I come to this song, there are a bunch of angry atheists. What the fuck is up with that? If you don't like it, then leave. No one is forcing you to stay here lol
I dont understand how people can treat other people so wrong and get away with it.... I am sitting here watching the actual movie right now and i want 2 cry so bad but i cant even cry cuz i feel the way they feel some time...............
@bahbemcapaz We only truly die when we give up hope- I know someone has said that already, i dont know who... I'm not a big spiritual person, I rarely go to church, but I do know one thing, that we must believe in something- and in times of need, magical things always happen, trust me, I know...
just saying this in case any1 knows what2do. this song got me thru life.id listen to it when i didnt feel like studying and i'd go right to work, remembering who i was working for, ppl like this. any time my father abused me i would remember i was living my life souly for these ppl i would one day help. life has stolen my hope. i want to help ppl still but idk what to do. i thought if i worked hard it would all work out. but it hasnt. im nowhere close to where i need to be. idk what to do!
@Rachulie There are always ways to help other people. Sometimes one way doesn't work out, but life is full of people who want help, so don't worry about what to do. We don't always know where we need to be - leave that up to God. He knows what's best.
Christine Shelly "We have every reason to believe acts of genocide have occurred."
Reporter "How many acts of genocide does it take to make genocide?"
Christine Shelly "Alan that just not a questioned I'm in the position to answer."
If they had just said genocide they would have been forced to go into Rwanda, only reason they wouldn't do anything is because of the outcome of Somalia 3 months before this event happened. People have to step in as humans and do their job.
After watching this movie, I now want to visit Rwanda. Here is what I believe; if u think that watching the Tutsis get murdered is cool...then u r no better than the Hutu Rebel scum. They are people, and they have every right to be here. If all countries helped the ones in struggle...then we can make sure that nothing like the Rwandan incident ever happens again.
@renesmeecullen101 Actually if you do more research then you will know that the Tutsis had been attacking the Hutus since the 70's. It didn't happen until the 90's when the Hutus started retaliating. If you ask me, I believe that when the president for the Hutus was going to sign the treaty that the Hutus killed him and blamed it on the Tutsis. Although this doesn't take away from the fact that people shouldn't be killing other people
every time i see this movie i cry. its a great movie though but it makes u just think how lucky u are to be living...some of those people didnt even have a chance.....
@suhailfarooq I also think that I was searching for that song but I only love it when the kids sing. we had to watch the film for school but I really like it.
This video shows what a horrible world we live in. To quote the movie ' People we see this on the telly and think "oh thats horrible" then they'll go back to eating their dinners'
my teacher brought in the movie since we are on the section on Rwanda and i think it was a really good movie i saw a couple people in my class crying though but i dont blame theme this is a very sad movie
This movie is a moving, beautifully made lie which fails to say a word about who armed the English speaking Ugandan Tutsi army that invaded the north led by Paul Kagame.
Well it is still happening ... Here in sweden a gang of immigrants attacked Swedish old ladies only. And here in sweden Nationalsocialists attacks homosexualls and immigrants.
We need to take a clear stance from this and educate people.
tx God for showin' me the true pic of the reality, i don't know how to explain how it was bein' their in my 10, i survived but i can't get away of the past.
I think that genocide is horrid and a sad thing I pray for those people who must live through it and pay witness to it. I understand those who feel more needs to be done by other countries I agree but I also think more action needs to be taken for those countries to help themselves and others will follow.
WOOW, how selfish of the world to let such things to happen, children bein tourtured and parents infront of there own children,
im Tamil Born on an Island south of india now called Sri Lanka, My parents and grandparents have been through Genocide for there whole life reason why they brought me and my brother over seas to canada, Now i can only watch helplessly as my Tamil Brothers and Sisters over seas are being tortured, raped, and killed.
Canada US, UK would never let Genocide happen in there own countries but why would they let it happen in Countries such as Africa Sri Lanka ... R,i,P INNOCENT VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE AT THE HANDS OF SELFISH PEOPLE (F)
Because they know that going in and helping temporarily wouldn't help because as soon as they leave, there will be a new tyrant and the bloodshed will continue again. Seen in this aspect, colonies weren't such a bad Idea. BTW Genocides in Europe were the biggest in the world. Hitler ring a bell?

The thing in Sri Lanka is perhaps partly caused of its geographical location. Still it is Europe with Northern America that "influent" what is done and not done when crimes against humans happens,... for better and worse...

I think we definetly should have helped them, this could've been prevented, i mean, those Hutu's literally killed hundreds of thousands of tutsi's within 50 days, by 100 days, there were very few left...the Hutu's blamed all of the tutsi's for the death of the president just because of a pack of some tutsi's that were ignorant. Hatred can go too far.

The exact same things happened in northern ireland up until 98 ! I saw parts of bodies scattered across the street in armagh when i was 9, My uncle was murdered by the british army in belfast in 76, Yes lady i know the pain and sorrow you talk about, But if you can find a country that 800000 people were murdered in 100 days other than the holocaust i would like you to tell me
woow, you mom and you must be strong people cuz if you put a western person from us, canada britain and so forth in war torn countries such africa they wouldnt last, we feel so helpless stayin over seas watching these horrifying clips of genocide happening before our eyes. I hope you are you family will live your life in peave of not worrying and lookin over you backs, R.I,P ALL THOSE INNOCENT LIFES TAKEN AWAY BY GENOCIDE!! (F)
i saw this in seventh grade, and in an awkward class for this: english/religion. i loved and hated watching this movie. great and powerful movie, but about such a horrific event in RECENT history. you would expect this kind of thing in much older times, not just a decade ago.
I just watched this movie and in the last couple weeks I have read a few books about the conflict in Africa over the past 20 years or so. I am left feeling helpless and angry. The human race has so much potential and yet this is ongoing. Everyday for all of history this has happend. I feel like using. I don't like feeling.
i sort of agree, but it can be seen as a race issue. but i agree 100% with you that super powers dont rlly give a sh1t about lower class countries. bunch of variables makes this sad crap
that scene was so telling when the belgians came only to get just the whites...and yes i said it because thats what happened they weren't gonna save any blacks and thats the attitude most people still have towards blacks no wonder were so f**Ked up. we're all human beings and we should help people regardless of what they look like. some whites have this attitude, black on black violence, "thats there problem." no its everyone's problem!!
Good day to all of my fellow Christians, firstly my apology for being out of topic. I came here to remind you people that the judgment day has been starting already. I urge you my fellow Christians to depart from all form of unchristian conduct lest you be found not worthy to inter the kingdom of God in the Day of Execution. Please do not misinterpret my activity as spam; I did not do it for that purpose.
I am not going to cry that's all I can say to this video. And it is not only African nations that should unite but African people all over the world despite whether you are Caribbean, Canadian, American, British whatever we all came from Africa and for this reason we should stand together as a nation and try and better ourselves.
This was by far one of the most evocative movies I've ever seen. I've watched it atleast 5 times and it never gets old. And what a perfect song,, does anyone know what its called?
great movie. very informational and inspiring in a way. NOW, help darfur! same thing people. i've already helped sell save darfur braclets in my school and we even got solar stoves and food for darfur. TAKE ACTION! open your eyes! it shouldnt take a movie for that to happen.
love this song... its true... if america is the united states of america why cant africa be a united africa.... and england is the united kindom why cant africa be the united states of africa...
i am so proud of the person who made this video you can see the real facts of life
life is nothing we all gonna die once and no one will be on earth but for now we need to respect our nearbours and show peace i am proud i got everything i want to live in the dream but some childeren don't they use druggs no parents no life i thank god for my life may god Protect them
wat isn't real? the music video or the story of the movie? the story of the movie is real man. paul rusesabagina was real and he did try to save the lives of all of those people.
Before i'd barely heard of the Genocides there. After i did my own research and found out lots.
Paul Rusesabagina even got the presidential medal for freedom in 2005. Which is still an understatement for what he did and how he has preserved the sanctity of life no matter what the person may be.

The human race has so much potential and yet this is ongoing. Everyday for all of history this has happend. I feel like using. I don't like feeling.

I don't think that's the attitude most people still have toward blacks. Maybe poor people, but not blacks.
egander18 2 years ago
i sort of agree, but it can be seen as a race issue. but i agree 100% with you that super powers dont rlly give a sh1t about lower class countries. bunch of variables makes this sad crap
Striker117 2 years ago
that scene was so telling when the belgians came only to get just the whites...and yes i said it because thats what happened they weren't gonna save any blacks and thats the attitude most people still have towards blacks no wonder were so f**Ked up. we're all human beings and we should help people regardless of what they look like. some whites have this attitude, black on black violence, "thats there problem." no its everyone's problem!!

this is a sad song. no one would call this genocide a 'genocide' because than we'd have to help, and that's just pathetic
I love this song and the movie

:D Everyone in the world should unite, whether we are Brown, Pink, Yellow or whatever.

True that
Before i'd barely heard of the Genocides there. After i did my own research and found out lots.
Paul Rusesabagina even got the presidential medal for freedom in 2005. Which is still an understatement for what he did and how he has preserved the sanctity of life no matter what the person may be.
