  • If he does vaccuum, you can sweep or jump-in on this; and super kicks when blocked have long lag so you can punish with a combo or ultra, or whatever you can hit with to punish. Just park yourself at the right range and wait to see what he does, then punish it.

    I'm not sure who you're playing, but you'll se in this video that her EX Spinning Bird Kick hits both sides, so it shuts out his teleport games on knockdown. EX Tatsumaki with Ryu or Akuma can do this too. Some can teleport away also.

  • Any time he is at 3/4 or full screen distance, he HAS to Sonic Boom almost immediately. He'll do 3 or 4 then wall jump at you. Certain characters can hurt him for having to fireball, like Chuns ultra. Anytime I did a small backflip on the spot with her in this vid, that was an ultra that I got wrong.

    When he wall jumps, jumping back with HK works great. It'll often hit him back away from you; but even when it doesn't, it gets you out of his BS close offense.

    I actually made this some time ago when I was learning the game myself; but experience goes a long way in learning the game and especially in improving with Chun Li. There were a number of things in the video that I was trying to do but didn't get right.

    I'll explain a few things in the video anyway so you have a better understanding of what to do.

  • He's governed by his AI in a fashion where he has to use certain moves at certain ranges. If you know how to exploit these moves and set yourself at distances where they won't hurt you; then it doesn't matter what difficulty he's on, he can't stop you.

    At the mid range where the round starts; he can only do the stretch punch, the vaccuum, or his Sonic Boom and a jump-in would beat all of these while he's recovering, giving you a free combo.

  • Occassionally he'll jump at you to hit you out of the air when the round starts, so it doesn't work every single time.

    After you get a knockdown, if you position yourself at around sweep range, he again is restricted in what he can do when he gets up. He can't Shoryuken or piledrive at this distance and pretty much has to do either the strech punch, super kicks or vaccuum. You can focus the stretch punch then combo or you can sweep it on block at the right distance also.
