    Marcio / Brazil

  • @marc782005 Thank you!

  • you ever got to that point during your time as a guitar player when you realize how much material you have learned and at the same time realized how much of it you completely fuckin forgot about?--this material is one of those for me --lol

  • @crownvvc4 I hear ya! :o)

  • Wow, this is dead cool and sounds complicated at first but you clearly explained it and made it real easy and this is now something I can play real well. You've no idea how much your videos are helping me in my guitar journey. Thanks so much, Man, for taking the time to share your experience with us all :-)

  • @grumpyauldman Very cool! Thanks for watching!

  • Dear Sawlon, can you shoot this A minor blues again on your new camera? It's to blury for me to see anything, Jonas.

You're the best teacher on YouTube!

  • @FILTHYJONAS I'll see what I can do. :o) Thanks!

  • Great stuff.. as with all your other lessons. Thank you..

    Btw, that's a Seagull Artist?

  • @crank8488 Yes it is. My wifes guitar. Thanks!

  • @crank8488 Yes it is. My wifes guitar. Thanks!

  • How many guitars do you have?

  • @Mrjohnnyguitar96 Seven guitars and one bass!

  • I dont know if this has been answered before, But Can you explain your tuning that you use? From the 6th to the 1st string? I have played banjo for 2 years and jsut bought a dobro and trying to learn blues, but just can't grasp it yet.

  • @hummersmstr Just standard. EADGBE.

  • Hard one...but great:)!Thanks!

  • @seeonnii You're so welcome!

    Thanks for commenting!

  • Cool Lesson, I like this progression, practicing now.

  • @Mpark42 Me too! Thanks!

  • working fine now....dunno what happened

  • @huds1223 Cool!

  • the video stops at 2.11

  • @huds1223 Working all the way through here! Hmm ...

  • Thanks, that was great. However, I play a simplified version: I do the usual fully barred Am chord (from low to high: 577555). Since all of the riff notes are close, I keep everything barred at the 5th fret and do the riff with the ring and the pinky finger, forming the chord in the process.

Salutations from Brazil, I`m watching all of your videos. Great playing style.

  • cool thanks for lesson, that was pretty good

  • @greeneyedgnome You're so welcome!

    Thanks!

  • It sounded like 'carlos santana' could use. I needs some bongo's as wel .. some nice percussion. Nice work.

  • Thanks!

  • Is that an olson?

  • It's a Seagull.

    Thanks!

  • Awesome lessson, and the inclusion of tab is a big bonus for a beginner like me... thanks!

ps. From 1:40 onwards I couldn't help thinking of that song: dah dah dah... Won't you take me to... dah dah dah... Funkytown!

  • Thanks!

    It does sound like Funkytown!

  • lol awesome stairway to heaven!!!

  • Thanks!

  • np dude keep up the videos! although my hands arnt large enough to do this yet it was a good video thanks for posting

  • super bonne leçon en plus elle est originalk et c'est bien expliqué.merci

  • like this one a lot, thanks for the great lesson. Reminds me a lot of when dave matthews and tim reynolds play acoustic together, matthews would do a progression like this and reynolds will come over the top with lead riffs, definitely a good one to jam on.

  • best thing about this guy is hes not making it complicated... iv been playing for years and i still have trouble when people refer to the strings by there letter designation... calling them 1st, 2nd ect.ect. is much better. good riff man and good vid keep it up.

  • Thanks so much for the nice comment!

    Dave

  • Oh, this was fun. Thanks man!

  • You're so welcome!

  • I like this one. Fun to play and catchy.

    Dave

  • so smooth ma brotha, I will have a good time practicing to this...thanks man.

  • You're so welcome!

  • sure do sound better than the seagulls im used to...at the beach that isss

  • what happens when you fall in love with the guitar only to realize that your fingers are too short to do things like fretting with your thumb and such..?... Is that what you might call a tragic love story?... Goddamn these short fingers of mine... I'll be glad when the future gets here and we can get finger implants

  • buy an old ibanez RG550 or 570

    with orginal wizard neck(17mm/19mm)

it's prob the fastest neck in the world.

really good for short finger person

  • hey dont worry...use a 38" or a smaller guitar.....

  • Angus young has small fingers...hes only like 5'2

  • very nice you are a insperation for me

  • thanks !You are a good teacher!!!so good

  • Great lesson. Double great because I can use that E7#9 in other tunes. It's a really neat chord.

  • awesome. great teaching.

  • Love your videos. Learning alot.

  • this is EXCELLENT!! Thank you!! I'm retarded for "minor blues" I'm still learning but this is a GREAT lesson and the tabs on the video make it REALLY easy! Thank you !!!

  • Really really catchy! Thanks!

  • that was a cool riff. i liked it alot. thanks for posting it.

  • Thanks man, this is a really cool riff!

  • Thank you, mister Calvin Russel! :-)

  • do you still have that silent guitar?!?

  • u are great reallyyy

  • Its sounds like can you take me to funky town :)

  • Hey OG...I'm gonna hitch a ride with ya..(if Ya don't mind)..Right on up to Funky Town man....

  • what am i doing wit the 5th string?

  • What I do is forget about it at first. I get the rhythm and chords down...then after that I can adjust the strum or mute the string. It isn't a technical answer but once you get the 'feel' of the rhythm then slight adjustments in strumming, pressure on the srings, etc. comes natural.

  • Oops. forgot to quote. That last comment was in reply to an earlier question about 'what to do with the 5th string'.

  • it's a seagull guitar?

  • Another great lesson, Thanks. Should I be muting the fifth string on the opening chord?

  • it could get muddy if you don´t but you don´t have to. I recommend to do so

  • e7#9,wow I learned somethin new 2day. is this a dorain progression?
